“Dijon stop over”
We arrived at 11pm and they had a member of staff specially waiting for us. We had just missed the restaurant but were so tired that it didn't matter. The night clerk was very sweet, although we'd obviously delayed his going off duty. Room was comforable, and the air conditioning actually worked...unlike some budget hotels. TV had very little for English speakers, as usual in France. There was a neat little kettle with coffee and herbal teas, but no fridge. Checkout at midday was an excellent feature because it allowed a lie in. It was, in the event, a little rushed, because the housekeeping staff needed to get off. We were too exhausted to get up for breakfast,so I can't comment on catering. The area was well signposted from the autoroute, and parking was provided. The chief advantages were value for money and not having to drive round town looking for it. My family and I all liked it and we had a good stay. This is a recommended budget stopover.
“Great value for money and exactly what we expected.”
I love Campanile's, great value for money and you know what to expect.. comfy bed, clean room, great place to rest your weary head! This was typical of all we've stayed in, and amazingly easy to find!
“Cheap and Cheerful”
For a Campanile this was fine!! The room was a little larger than normal and the bed a bit bigger!!The Rugby World Cup was on so my other half was happy!! The manager is charming and very helpful. The dinner and breakfast were both excellent.
“Good stop-over hotel”
Well positioned for the motorway, but quiet and does what it advertises.
“OK for an overnight stop-over - Pricey food.”
Used this hotel as a stop-over on journeys too and from the Alps. Its well located for this purpose being very close to the Autoroute - although there is pretty much nothing, not even a play park in the local vicinity (its by a new housing development) - A bit of a problem when having to entertain Kids until dinner time, which starts at 7pm (kind of late for young Children!) The hotel itself is typical Campanile although I personally found the resturant expensive for average food. Guess the Exchange rate doesnt help! Room was clean and comfortable - although the coffee / buscuit tray needed stocking up ant the toilet flush mechanism needed a good whack to get it to go. All in all, a pretty average Campanile, good for an overnighter, but wouldnt want to be there any longer.
“Not built for 3 adults”
The hotel was well located with pretty easy access near the autoroute. The staff at the front desk was helpful. They gave us some great advise on how to get the bus into the main part of town. The on-site restaurant had decent food and prices, but the service was not very attentive. When we checked in as 3 adults, it seemed like there was only a double bed in the room- low and behold there was a "portable" camp bed located just under the double bed. The night was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE for our single friend. If you are traveling in a group of 3 it might be better to get 2 rooms if you are staying more than one overnight.
“WHERE TO STAY IN DIJON”
It has a good restaurant, and like all Campanile hotels offers a generous cold buffet menu, but prices have risen considerably since we last stayed at a Campanile in Nanterre. Will consider a different hotel chain next time with more competitive rates. It is a pity the airport at Dijon can't be accessed from England. That would be a great time saver.
