Nice hotel, service not great
Check in was not great, but we eventually got our pre booked and pre paid rooms. Room was comfortable, large and well appointed. Bed was very comfortable. Restaurant was not great. Waiter brusque at best! Menu very limited and only the items listed on the black board available. No atmosphere in the restaurant, shame as very nicely presented and the food was ok Would stay again, but not eat.

Quiet and comfortable
It's a quiet, comfortable hotel with a quirky ambience. They had a pair of pet rabbits in a fenced area alongside the reception desk -- a charming treat for children (and for my wife). The breakfast was fresh and had lots of choices. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Good, spacious rooms, easy to find.
Place appears a little tired from the outside but fine inside. Room was very spacious with a king size bed and plenty of room. Would have preferred a separate shower rather than a shower over a bath, but some would no doubt prefer the bath. Easy to find, on the main road but far enough away that there is no traffic noise.

Hotel was absolutely fine - a little bit tired and showing it’s age but great location off the motorway on a long drive through France. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Stopped here overnight on our way to italy. Very easy to reach to and from motorway. Decent enough motel type accommodation with good free parking. Nice patio area. Very small swimming pool. Friendly staff. Room had fridge and a kettle but did not provide tea or coffee. Have to drive into saint avoid town so nothing within walking distance.

Convenient location just off the motorway. The room and bathroom are a little tired and in need of a renovation. Very friendly staff coped with the late check in no problem at all.

Fairly comfortable stay
A decent hotel priced well, but not quite in the city centre. I knew that, and that worked for me. Room was a bit dated, and I must admit, I am not a fan of their pillows. Makes me feel a bit stiff in the morning. But otherwise not a bad stay. Worked for an overnight stay. Rooms are fairly spacious

This is a very convenient hotel for travellers; and offers a good standard of service, quiet and comfort. The rooms are spacious and well equipped with kettle, fridge and table. I like the separate bathroom and toilet too. The bar serves fine beer It offers easy parking and relief at the end of a long drive. The staff are lovely and helpful. A couple of years ago, I commented that management didn’t seem to have an effective staffing plan, because although the staff were clearly doing their best, they were unable to meet customer demand in reception, bar and restaurant. I’m glad to report that although the staff are still busily multi-tasking, they are doing better. However, there are delays in reception and bar, which other hotels of a similar standard manage to avoid. Having said this, the young man staffing reception and bar during our visit was brilliant, warm and thoughtful to our needs. Thanks for a good stay overall.

Convenient location just off the motorway. Easy to find with secure car parking. Family room was double bed with 2 fold out singles from the sofa. Wifi worked. Hotel just looked generally a bit shabby and in need of a bit of renovation/new carpets etc.

Avoid this hotel, old and worn out hotel.
This hotel is by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The hotel is really worn out. The bathroom in my room had mould visible all over the ceiling and walls. The grout between the tiles was so mouldy and dirty they have painted over the grout with white paint. On my second day My key card was disabled. Reception told me the room had been given to somebody else!! Even though my bags were still in the room. After a painful 45 minutes they gave me a new key card to get into my room. Having stayed in numerous other Novotels this was a BIG disappointment. Avoid at all cost.

We have stayed here before, but the experience this time was let down by poorly organised check-in. However, the staff were pleasant enough and the hotel itself is good in a convenient location for a stop between Switzerland and Calais. The room and corridor decor are quite old but in good condition. We had a large room with a double bed and a sofa but the bed placement is very odd - if you sleep on one side of the bed you have the whole room to dance about it should you wish; but if you sleep on the side nearest the bathroom, the gap between the bed and the wall is about 8 inches, so you have to either shuffle down the bed or slide sideways down the gap. There is a good size area as you enter the room with hanging space, shelves, extra pillows and a large mirror. Also the shower and the separate toilet which is useful. There is a fridge in the room which is useful and there are tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast was nice with good selection to choose from including some basic hot choices. There is a small bar area and a restaurant with inside and outside seating which we didn't use. There is a nice pool area though we did not use the pool. The free car park is very big.

Good standards as expected from Novotel
A one night stopover as a family of four with two teenagers. We often use Novotel as their family rooms are very good with decent beds for the children and good sized rooms. This hotel was no exception. Clean, well equipped with well fuctioning bathroom. The service was polite and we used the restaurant in the evening. This was our only cause or complaint. We sat outside on the terrace and there was a problem with a large number of flying insects. The staff tried to aleviate the problem by spraying insect repellant which only served to agitate them more with many landing in our desserts and the odour was most unpleasant.My advice would be to check he terrace before eating or sit inside. The World War 2 cemetery is a couple of minutes away and is a definite must see for any visitor to this hotel. Truly breathtakingly moving.

There was no internet within room 129. It worked at the door, but not in the room. We moved to room 127, everything was fine then the front desk person was great, very patient with us, She provided excellent service and was very attentive to our issues about the Internet. This is the first time we stayed at Novatel. She made us feel welcome and appreciated.

Massively exceeded my expectations for a budget hotel on the motorway. Didn't know they had a restaurant and the food there was fantastic! Rooms were ok, but a bit small, bathroom modern, though may benefit from some renovation. In general, I will definitely stay there again if I am driving through France and need a stop over.

Nice place to break a journey
Stayed here overnight en route to the Alps. Really friendly reception staff, who made us feel really welcome, with free gifts for the children. We ate dinner there as we didn't fancy driving anywhere. Nice food, if slightly small portions. Room was clean and fresh. We had a good night's sleep. No noise from other guests or traffic. Breakfast was good and plentiful.
