Poor customer service

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: The location was perfect. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable.
Cons: Front line staff.
Location: Lots of pubs nearby. Beautiful wharves to relax on. Shopping all connected by pedways.
Housekeeping staff removed a personal item from the room. We contacted front desk and were told they would get right back to us. No one did. On checking out, I told the front desk clerk again - she took down my e-mail address and said they would try to locate item. Haven't heard anything. Genuine lack of concern about my personal item.

Great view, helpful staff

Posted Aug 30, 2014
Pros: Design, location, food
Cons: Free parking should be included.
Location: Harborside walkway, interior pedway/links to library, New Brunswick Museum, shops, food market, etc.
Spent the night as a quick getaway before fall schedules began. Terrific staff responded to a broken television with an offer of a different room and free breakfast. This hotel is by far my favorite in Saint John. The harborview windows are captivating day and night, facilities are well designed, clean and welcoming. If parking was included free it would make this a stellar experience.

The view of the harbour was lovely.

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Location.
Cons: For such a notical location, I had no sence of history or ocean.
Location: Did not explore. I do not like a lot about Saint John, but the river valley and funny shore are beautiful.
Chair showed visible wear. Not a good lobby. I spent little time there, so had little experience with the hotel.

Great hotel. But watch out for parking fees.

Posted Aug 15, 2014
This hotel is very clean and the staff are amazing. We did the Bed and Breakfast package and it was well worth while. If I had to complain about anything it would be the fact that we were not notified of the parking fee the time of booking. It is $20. a day plus tax which will cost you about $23.

Great place to stay

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Staff are friendly, especially in the restaurant. Warm smiles and greetings in the morning for breakfast.
Great location, right on the board walk. The room was larger than expected, and even had a microwave. We had a view of the harbour which was interesting to watch the tides.

Great hotel in Prime Saint John Location!

Posted Aug 4, 2014
We had very late check in. Staff were very pleasant and helpful! Everyone who worked here was great, full of good advice about things to do in the city and also tourist stuff. Room was very comfy. Excellent bed, great linens. Looks like an older hotel which has had its rooms renovated and refurbished quite recently. Lobby has attractive furnishings and decor. It is a fantastic location, steps away from city market, shops, historic uptown.

Comments of hotel staff and parking cost

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: The hotel had clean, comfortable rooms. We asked for a refrigerator and got one with no hassle.
Cons: I would appreciate honesty when asking about special rates.
We had 2 concerns: 1. When we called the hotel and asked for the bridge rate of $xx (we were attending a bridge tournament in Saint John), they said "we no longer have any rooms at the $xx rate". This was not true. Only one or two other bridge players actually stayed at the Hilton. What did happen was that the tournament was held at a neighbouring Delta Hotel which was honouring the $xx rate. The Hilton rep then quoted $xxx for a room. I then called Expedia and paid $xxx per night for a room at the Hilton. 2. I had to pay $xx for parking from noon on Friday to 6 PM on Sunday. Parking was free at the Delta (included in the $xx per night room rate).

Perfect stay

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Cons: Adjust door closers in the rooms: when door released, it slams very loudly and disturbs entire floor.
Very nice hotel. Next to "Market Wharf" where all street festivals and entertainments happen. There are several restaurants around. I'm not sure was it temporary action or they are changing their policy, but they gave me a coupon for free WiFi internet.

Very nice business hotel in St John

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: The location was amazing. St. John is not the prettiest of cities, but this hotel has a great view of the harbour
Cons: Include parking in your stay.
Location: The mall is worth a visit, most certainly for the restaurants. The Reversing Falls park is shocking dramatic. In the same park is a zipline.
This is clearly a business traveler's hotel right in the core of St. John. The hotel is right on the harbour. From most rooms, you could be convinced that you are actually out at sea. The parkade across the street (not included in the price of the room) is connected underground to the hotel. On that same underground is a connection to the mall in downtown with many great restaurants. The rooms are new and clean. The public areas are open and bright. If you are here on business, this would be a great hotel.
