DELIGHTFULPosted Jul 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
This was an unexpected and delightful place to stay just on the outskirts of St. Raphael. Too far to walk into town and you really need a car to enjoy the many restaurant available if you did not want to eat in the hotel. We like exploring and if you come out of the hotel and turn right a five minute walk down the road on the right hand side there is a large parade of shops with a supermarket and a patisserie where we had a light breakfast. The hotel itself was more like a small castle. We have never seen a building quite like it before. The grounds were very pleasant with a swimming pool, jaccuzi and a sauna with ample deckchairs and lounges. There was ample free parking. We might mention the restaurant looked delightful but was rather expensive so we had a 10 minute drive into town to eat. The downside of this is that you cannot enjoy a drink with your meal as you have to drive back. During the day there was free coffee and cakes. There was no fridge or safe in the room. The bar in the hotel is open to 11 p.m. when the doors to the hotel are locked and there is no night porterage. What we found extremely strange was the door number is printed on the door key card. Provided you have a car we would recommend this hotel as a very pleasant stay for two to three days.

This Hotel is a Little GemPosted Aug 10, 2012 on Hotels.com
A fabulous, original hotel. I absolutely loved the interiors and the finishes in the lounge area. We stayed for 6 nights and adored the tranquil setting, the huge pool and general aura in the hotel. Our room had an amazing view of the pool but was a little dark. We did not have a car and the local bus service is poor, so perhaps this is worth considering. The staff were also helpful and friendly. The only negative was that when we twice attempted to book the restaurant we were told on both occasions that it was full.

Charming to the MaxPosted Jun 21, 2012 on Hotels.com
We stayed for a week at this charming little hotel. It can be a little difficult to find if it is your first time driving in a French town, but not something that you worry about. The neighborhood is quiet and well-maintained. The hotel itself is clean and, as I said earlier, charming. Perhaps our only complaint was that the bed was hard. The hotel's systems work fairly well, but because of the stone construction, Internet access is really not available in the rooms, but is easily accessed in the lounge area. The pool is nice and cool on a warm day and the pool area is kept up nicely. We did not eat at the hotel, but the breakfast buffet smelled delicious each morning. We thought 12.5 euros per person was a bit much for the breakfast option. The staff is fairly courteous, but they need to be able to give better directions and provide guests with better maps. All in all, I would recommend this hotel. It is reasonably priced, has a lot of charm (I know, I've said that before) and you can feel like you are getting away from the noise and bustle of the city.
