Fall in a Laurentian Manoir

Posted Oct 19, 2014
Location: Close to outlet stores, short walk to rue Principal shopping.
We were given a royal welcome by the Concierge and shown the complex. Good thing as it is quite large. Indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, well mantained and So Welcome. Room was quite simple, but all amenities were there, Keirig coffee, hair dryer, etc. An extremely comfortable bed and a quiet rest. Buffet breakfast next morning was delicious with both hot and cold dishes. Clean, and elegant overall. Wonderful way to enjoy the Fall! Next time would take a room not overlooking the outlet stores, though. We found parking outside and were a bit nonpussed to note an extra charge for indoor parking. Yes, we'd go back.

Good place to stay.

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: Clean. great mattress. quality pillows and sheets.
Cons: I live in Ontario and did my best to communicate in French. Servers during breakfast were a challenge and somewhat off putting. It was a struggle.
Great hotel for the size of the town. Room was clean, bed and linens were great, towels in the bathroom had been around the block a few too many times but a good experience.

Not as advertised

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: The decor of the room as attractive. The bed was comfortable.
Cons: Staff customer service and responsiveness, food, wine by the glass, honest advertising.
Location: close to a nice shopping area downtown and apparently many restaurants within walking distance, if only we had some better guidance.
Hardly a dream vacation or a romantic getaway. Located next to a mall. The view advertised was of another building. a comfortable enough size room with only one comfortable chair. The drilling started at 9 AM and was not tolerable to stay in the room. So much for a relaxing morning. The restaurant was closed for renovations. the desk staff gave us wrong directions to our restaurant and we missed our reservation. There was no wine by the glass at the bar, renovations anticipated. Breakfast was dried up eggs and runny beans, though the croissants were tasty. Unfortunately, that was not enough to redeem the stay.

No walking path to the Lobby

Posted Sep 8, 2014
We stayed in one of the buildings in the complex (which had low ceilings and was creepy) and had to walk out in the parking lot and street to get to the lobby and pool area. The parking lot was poorly designed- we couldn't find a place to park on a Friday night at 7:30 because of an event the hotel was sponsoring. The Concierge gave us bad directions on 2 occasions- one a breakfast recommendation and the other the location of a local park. On the plus side the pool is beautiful and the cabanas are lovely.

Lovely stay!

Great hotel. Stayed in the newly renovated pavillons. The room was beautiful. However, the hallways could use a little freshning up. We enjoyed the outdoor pool very much. Hotel is well located. Very close to the outlets and restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will go again!

Enjoyable

Was good but would be nice if three people are staying in a room that there is enough cups and coffee and towels . We had to ask 3 times before we got them. Then we needed more tissues but it never happened.

Beautiful hotel, very quaint town

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: There was so much to like, the rooms, the wonderful pool and gardens, the choices of restaurants and much more.
Cons: The sheets on our king bed did not seem to fit properly. They were too short and were uncomfortable on the feet.
Location: Very central. Many places to eat nearby and lots of cute boutiques to investigate. There was an art show and a concert in the town.
Had a wonderful stay, there is so much to see and do. We were a family with 3 generations and there was something for everyone. Can't wait to go back.

Perfect for a quick get away!

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Location: Walking distance to the outlets. Right next door to an incredible sushi place: SUSHI TAX is not to be missed!
We stayed 3 for 3 nights and enjoyed everything about this hotel. The outdoor pool is fabulous, with lots of space to lounge about. The indoor and outdoor hottubs were both great. The indoor pool doesn't have enough seating, but it was not too crowded when we went, so it worked out for us. The availability of a shuttle to take us ANYWHERE we wanted to go was a real plus. The only negative for us was the beds. The mattresses were a bit too hard... a far cry from the pillow top mattresses we enjoy at home!

Poor sound proof

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The room was big and bright, teh bed very confortable.
Cons: Sound proofing
Location: This hotel is close to mall, grocery store, pharmacy, bank and a fair walk to shops, nice restaurants and cozy cofee shops.
Our room was part of a bigger unit and connected to the noxt room by a door. We were abl to hear the TV in the next room as well as the bathroom ventilation:-).
