“Great outdoorsy hotel”

We really enjoyed the hotel and the offered amenities - tree top adventure course, hiking trails, kayaks, canoes, game room, pool. Amenities were extra, unless included in a package. Great location, very nice rooms, we would definitely go back.

Very good hotel. Surrounded by nature. Heated Jacuzzi and heated swimming pool were very good options for the children when it rained. Lots of options of things to do.

“a lovely resort in the heart of Quebec”

We decided to stay away from the crowds of Quebec City this time and landed at the Station Touristique Duchesnay, about 40 min northwest from Quebec City in a picturesque area on Lake St-Joseph. We were not disappointed. The weather was nice and warm and we enjoyed swimming in the lake and sunbathing on the private beach. The hotel is truly an outdoor person's paradise. There are mountain trails, both for hiking and biking, water sports, archery, treetop rope trails, and an indoor pool and jacuzzi for those days when the weather is not so nice. The staff was attentive and helpful, speaking good English. Note the restaurant closes at about 9 pm; arrive early for a dinner to avoid a disappointment! We will definitely be back next time we are in Quebec City!

“A clean hotel in a very nice area best to visit when the weather is cool”

Everything about this hotel was great except that it doesn't have air conditioning. You can argue that most of the time AC is not necessary because the weather is cool at night and the lake and high altitude makes it a nice stay, but I think it can get hot (and damp) on some hot and humid summer days. Luckily we did not need the AC at night. the staff were friendly and the room was clean. the lake view and the trails around it were excellent. the water in the lake was very clean.

“Nice resort”

The biggest problem I had was my GPS could not find the address and it is not easy to ask for direction when you know little French. My room got upgraded and therefore, I had a good deal. Nice resort, friendly staff, good food in the restaurant. Not a bad choice if you want to visit outskirts of Quebec City.

“A pleasant country retreat”

The hotel is in a rustic setting, about 30 mins from Quebec City. It consists of a main lodge, which includes a bar and restaurant, and several smaller outbuildings with several rooms in each. They are all within walking distance of the lodge, but most involve some mild hill-climbing. . We stayed in one of the outbuildings, Le Caribou. Our room was comfortable, clean, and totally quiet. The decor was simple and appropriate for a country lodge, but It was by no means luxurious. If you are looking for the Hilton, don't come here. We had an excellent dinner in the main lodge and enjoyed the view over the lake as we dined. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The complex includes an activities building which is the headquarters for a variety of sports. We didn't visit the building or participate in any of the activities so can't comment on that aspect of the facility. We were totally satisfied with our stay, and enjoyed the country setting. It offered good value for the money. One word of caution: If you are driving to the facility from the south, do not take highway 367. It is under major construction and delays are frequent and long. A better route is by way of Autoroute 573 and highway 369.
