Salalah Crown - AWESOMEPosted Dec 3, 2013
Pros: The Food, servers, and overall quality were great
Cons: nothing I can think of
Location: Salalah is a phenomenal venue with many cultural and archaeological opportunities to explore
The Hotel is like a cruise ship that doesn't need to go anywhere. All the best of the region is already there.

AMONG THE BETTERPosted Oct 19, 2013
Pros: Very comfortable rooms, beds, parking, facilities, etc.
Cons: Ventilation in the bathrooms.
Location: Excellent beach and Salalah is picking up in terms of standard urban offerings (international restaurants, etc.)
Although somewhat older, the property has a lot to offer and is in a great location. The beach is excellent, but there is no swimming between late May and early November due to the Khareef (monsoon) which, for Arabs, is the best time to come to Salalah to escape the heat and enjoy the green hills. The hotel itself was very nice and the staff was very attentive and did not hesitate to go the extra mile when asked.

Great LocationPosted Jun 16, 2013
Pros: The location and the barbeque/buffet
Cons: Having a room in the basement
Excellent hotel in beautiful surroundings right on the beach. However I would have preferred a room on a floor other than the basement. I would also have liked my draft beer served in the correct glass Stella in a Fosters glass is sloppy for a five star hotel.

Public areas alittle TiredPosted May 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
Good location with beach and grounds, but the public areas away from reception were a little tired, and could do with updating. The pub was in the middle of a refurb (floor being ripped up!). No problems with the room, which was up together, although colleagues had minor issues.

hotel is a distance from anything else, save a decent thai restaurant. u will need a car or taxi to do most anything. rooms are nice. be sure to get the king or 2 twins as u need them staff is clueless in this regard. breakfast is great. try to figure out hoe to get the internet comped, else so expensive. that said, salalah is good for 2-3 days. oman is really a great place.

Best location in center of all attractions.Posted Oct 18, 2012
Cons: the bed
pools are clean and the childrens' playground is well maintained with lots of greenery and space. the room is spacious and spotless. the bed however is too soft for me which caused me back ache the following morning. I asked for a different bed and got a single additional bed that was not the best but firm enough to heal my back ache after a couple of nights. the staff are very helpful especially the customer relations's attendant. the location is most convenient for all the attractions east and west and is close to airport and center of city.

Wonderful hotel on a fantastic beachPosted Jan 8, 2012 on Hotels.com
No one could be dissappointed at this hotel. The only bad things are that the pools were very cold so our kids didn´t wanna swim there and the hotel is isoatded which means that you to often eat at their very expensive restaurang.

AdequatePosted Sep 5, 2011
Crowne Plaza, Salalah is a more than adequate place to stay to visit Salalah during the Khareef season when one is unlikely to make much use of its services. Am not sure i would find it a good place to stay at other times of the year. The most disappointing aspect was the quality and variety of the food, the breakfast buffet seems to have its menu cast in stone with little change day by day. The other restaurants have little choice or always seem to offer a buffet.
