Everything was great. Comfortable rooms with fully adequate installations. Parking option is small (best for drivers experienced with European car and street sizes) but well priced. The only issue was that there was some building and street noise during the night.

Fine, once you find it.
Excellent location just minutes from the main plaza and easy walks to most sights, just don't depend on your GPS to get you there. Don't know about the other rooms, but ours was small and up under the roof with a slopping ceiling that required stooping on occasion. Otherwise, it was fine for a couple nights.

The location cannot be beaten. It’s a nice, few frills hostal. The walls were a little thin but all was quiet at bedtime. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. I would definitely recommend this property.

Great price for staying in such a beautiful place. Located one block from Mercado Mayor or Central Plaza, on a small and beautiful Plaza itself, it's a great option for the price. The downside is that is very noisy at night because of the same closeness to the the town main place. I would take earplugs and stay again there (one or two days is enough to have a good idea of Salamanca). Great cost - benefit relation

Excellent location, service and value for money
Great little hotel, super location, lovely service and relatively large room, which was also very quiet. The parking is for small cars only, but still very good to have in such a central location. Genuinely dog friendly too.

The reception and check-in were very good. The elevator was very cramped with even with just two people, but not much can be done about that. The location was close to the Plaza Mayor and about 10 minutes to the Cathedral and University. Shopping was a short distance in the other direction. Restaurants were close by and in all price levels. A taxi can reach very close in two directions. About $8 from the train station. Good location. No breakfast offered, but many nearby options so not really a factor. Free luggage storage after checkout offered for a few hours.

Great Stay
The location is amazing. Right next to the Plaza Mayor. The hotel was clean and everything was professional as expected. If you are tall do not get a room on the 4th floor as the ceilings are low. I would definitely stay again.

Great hotel only metres from the Plaza Mayor.
We were given a room overlooking the plaza de Libertad fantastic. The hotel is just around the corner from the Plaza Mayor. Great room, lovely staff and a fantastic position. What else could you ask for?

The room was a little small, but the bed was fabulously comfy, and there was a mini balcony that opened onto the square, which was a lovely spot for a glass of wine amd people watching. Fabulous location, helpful staff.

Good value for the money
Hotel is conveniently located for touring the historic part of town by foot. However, that makes it also somewhat noisy due to tourists on the streets into the late night/early morning. The rooms are moderate but clean and therefore this hotel presents overall a good value for the money.

The location of the property is great! You are steps from the Plaza Mayor and above three restaurants. We had two balconies, one with a seating area and two different views of the streets. At night it does get a little loud as the Plaza stays lively until 2/3 am during the weekends. The hostel itself was kept very clean and was quiet. I liked that at 11:00 at night until about 8 in the morning you needed a code to get into the building. There usually wasn’t anyone at the desk if you needed something other than during the time you check in. We had a fantastic stay!

Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't. This is in a superb (but can be noisy) location but I got the attic dormer. It was clean and comfortable with a super bathroom. But after it all it was an attic dormer. So I think floors 1-3 wiuld be a much much nicer stay.

Noisy, inconvenient key/power situation
We were two people traveling together but the hotel would only give us one key. This key had an attached card to stick into a slot in the room. This is how you turn on the power. You had to use the key to lock the room from the inside. Which means at night, in the dark, you fumble around for the keyhole because you cannot turn on the light. There are not even emergency night lights or anything to help you. Also, they advertise parking on site. They directed us to a parking garage a couple of blocks away, saying our car was too big for their garage. We have parked in garages and tight spots throughout Spain and France, so their garage must be very tiny. The woman at the front desk was quite unpleasant. The room was large and comfortable. Lots of noise all night from the square downstairs. Would not recommend.

Wonderful. Could not have asked for more. Staff printed tickets for us for our onward journey. They are friendly and helpful. Room was nice and spacious. Nice view from the room. Bathroom spaceous and well equipped Very recommended stay. Salamanca is awesome would love to have stayed longer.

Great location, it was little noisy as there were restaurants and bars around the area, but worth staying. Nice staff. 6 nights seemed too short for this comfortable stay. If they had a small fridge, it made our stay even better.

Before I booked, I read a lot of the reviews: they all said the place was perfectly fine, except that it was noisy. I can confirm it: because the hostal is only about 10metres from the famous Plaza Major, it can get noisy in the night, and early mornings. You wonder why the place doesn't install double glass -and then charges a bit more, to resolve this problem? The relationship price/quality nevertheless is excellent!

Very convenient location to Plaza Mayor and easy walk to main sights and restaurants. The lift went to the 3rd floor and my room was on the 4th floor but I managed stairs with my suitcase. The cleaning was a bit hit and miss but on the up side they offered room service good coffee for €1 and washing so all my clothes now clean for €5, not pressed but lovely clean rather than hand basin washing.

Charming small hotel close to the action
Overall I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. I was initially concerned to have the name Hostal in the hotel name, but it was really not a Hostel. I had my own room on the 5th floor of the hotel. This was the top floor so no outside window, but rather a Skylight in the bedroom and bathroom. Old style key required you to use the key to lock and unlock the door to the room. And your key card is required to turn on the lights and plugs (No charging of devices when not in the room). It was very clean and they made up the room for me each day (For some reason, did not get towels the last two days). There was an elevator, but after the first day of getting my luggage upstairs, I did not use it again due to its age and size (very small). They have water and espresso on room service for a very small cost and so I bought all my water through them. If I stayed in this town again, I would certainly use them but would want a room with a door that opened onto the plaza, rather than my skylight.

Great location - a little noisy
Great location but due to this it's noisy - fine with ear plugs! Parking is also an issue as the parking plazas fill up - there are a few within a short walk though. Great place to explore the old town - lots of tapas bars very close by. Definitely recommend.

Great place, noisy city
This is a charming place. Right on beautiful Plaza Republica and a short stroll to the Plaza Mayor. Close to good cafés and restaurants and all the sites nearby. Can't fault the hotel, but charmingly noisy Spain will disturb your sleep. Have your siesta everyday, and don't sweat the 4am singers in the street.

This is a good value hotel located right in the centre of Salamanca. Also good internet in the room itself. My only complaint would be the noise in the middle of one of the nights I stayed where outside people were talking very loudly and singing. I realize that the hotel can do little about this but it made it hard to sleep one night.

Our room, #140, had a deck with a wonderful view of Plaza de la Libertad, just northwest of Plaza Mayor. It appeared to be a near-perfect location, until the noise of Saturday night student revelry continued until 4 AM.

The hotel was situated in the pedestrian area of the city and was not easy to access even with a motorbike. The parking was expensive at 8 euros per night.

Great value and position in Salamanca.
Perfect for our needs. Very good value for not much money. The cafe diagonally across the square is great for local food and cheap. Our room overlooked the lovely Liberator Plaza. Plaza Mayor was just around the corner. Free wifi. Cheap laundry charged by the bag full.
