“Downtown Salem”

“Exceptional Hotel in Salem!”

We wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary by hiking Silver Falls and staying the night in Salem. Luckily we picked this hotel and were extremely glad we did. It is in the heart of downtown and we were able to walk to the capital, the waterfront, saturday market and the mall. The interior is high class, the service was top notch, and the restaurant Bentley's was so good we went for lunch and dinner! I highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to go back for more than a day.

Bentley's restaurant located in the hotel is very nice, has great food and great service.

Outdoors or beach

Silver Falls is located roughley 30 minutes from hotel. It is a beautiful hike with multiple waterfalls and well worth it.

“Quality Hotel”

My wife and I attended a wedding in Salem and the Grand Hotel was less than ten minutes away. The staff was friendly and accomodating and the facility is clean, modern and near Willamette University, State government and downtown Salem. We were busy offsite and did not fully utilize the hotel's amenities but I am confident about the quality. The continental breakfast buffet was a positive surprise. I recommend the Grand Hotel.

“A great place to use as a base for exploring the Willamette Valley”

This hotel is in the heart of downtown Salem and thus within walking distance of many of the city's attractions. Willamette University, the Mission Mill Museum, and the waterfront park with the river cruise are but some of the spots of interest close by for even someone with two knee replacements! Dining is superb if you like grilled food, namely the Bentley Grill attached to the hotel. Absolutely delicious food, attentive staff and a good atmosphere of generally quiet surroundings combine for a great experience. In the morning the buffet hot breakfast would be hard to beat even if you ordered off of a full breakfast menu at a regular restaurant. The staff take pains to replenish the many offerings. Not too far away from the hotel are some other places to eat, including the "Best Little Roadhouse" which had a good menu but was quite a bit noisier. Our three day stay there was delightful and we will return again.

“Visit with our daughter”

This hotel has the best location in Salem. Three block walk brings you to the historical Opera House and a few more to a shopping mall with Nordstrom's. Something must be said about the free breakfast offering in one of the side rooms. The food was superb and the service was excellent. Enjoy your stay.

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay”

The Grand Hotel was a nice surprise in Salem. The staff was very accommodating. We enjoyed the Bentley restaurant and liked the variety offered in the complementary breakfast. We would definitely return.
