the elevator was broke when we were there, but other than that the hotel was great.

“Best in Salem”

The Grand Hotel is older but very well maintained. It is well appointed, verging on elegant. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The included buffet breakfast was better than most with a wide selection of hot and cold food and drinks. The location was very convenient with many restaurants within walking distance.

Excellent hotel. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Full hot breakfast each morning saved time & money. Great location in downtown area. Easy to find from I-5. Very comfortable bedding, clean spacious room. Next visit to Salem I will be staying at this hotel.

The Grand Hotel was a nice surprise in Salem. The staff was very accommodating. We enjoyed the Bentley restaurant and liked the variety offered in the complementary breakfast. We would definitely return.

“A Little More Expensive -But Worth It!”

Stayed there when they first opened. They had some typical "new hotel" problems. The bugs have been worked out - the operation is as smooth as silk!!!

“Very Nice Hotel”

This is our second time staying at the Phoenix Grand and found it as good as the first. Very clean, comfortable and friendly staff. Thanks to the lady on reception who gave us the cookies and the gentleman who bought the water to our room. It was a very hot day and much appreciated. The restaurant in the hotel is also very good with excellent food. Again the staff were very good. We would definitly stay again.

“Exceptional Hotel in Salem!”

We wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary by hiking Silver Falls and staying the night in Salem. Luckily we picked this hotel and were extremely glad we did. It is in the heart of downtown and we were able to walk to the capital, the waterfront, saturday market and the mall. The interior is high class, the service was top notch, and the restaurant Bentley's was so good we went for lunch and dinner! I highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to go back for more than a day.

“Great base for exploring Salem area.”

Staff friendly and helpful. Room well laid-out and spacious. Noise from Liberty Street traffic pretty much nonstop but muffled with window closed and air conditioning turned on. Breakfast area and swimming pool very good. Breakfast crowd busy with family groups but staff did a good job of coping. We used this hotel as a base to tour the local wineries and other attractions in the surrounding area. It works well for that purpose. Some interesting restaurants, riverfront park and shopping all within walking distance of hotel.

“Wonderful”

I loved the Phoenix Grand! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and beautiful, and the grill offered fantastic tasting food. I can't think of one thing that wasn't just as it should be. When I called the front desk and asked for a roll-away bed so my grand daughter could stay with us it was deliever and set up within 10 minutes. I purchased some framed art that was too big for me to pack on the plane so the front desk staff took care of contacting FedEx and had it delivered to my home. They were great! I can't wait to go back.
