“Nice hotel if you're in McMinnville”

If you have business to do within the city of McMinnville, this is a great place. Good continental breakfast, indoor pool and jacuzzi. The rooms are all non-smoking (a plus for me) and spacious -- ours had 2 queen beds Plus a sofa sleeper. It's about a mile from Linfiled College and the business district is a couple of miles from hotel (stores, restaurants). The only major restaurant is Ruby Tuesday - others are more pizza, fast food, sandwich shops. However, if business is really taking you to Portland, you would be better finding something much closer. From McMinnville, plan about an hour drive to Portland. Yes, it's about 30 miles or so, but given the traffic and 2-lane roads, it takes at least an hour. You're also about an hour from Lincoln City, 2 hours from Cannon Beach, an hour from Salem. The Woodburn Shopping Outlets (great stores) is about 40 mins. McMinnville is essentially a stop along the way, not for extended stay, given it's location.

“Check your room”

We were put into a handicap room which wasn't what we needed and the shower etc was a bit of an issue with the height, (I am 6'4" and it was very low). We were to have a queen size bed and the room had a full size again the size was not what we wanted/needed or expected but by the time we checked in we were so tired we didn't make an issue of it.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, did not try the breakfast. Close to down town.

“It was close to Linfield”

I was surprised that this relatively new hotel was so beat up. The carpets really were dirty. But the efficient room layout was a bit too efficient. With the bathroom sink outside the bathroom, and the narrowness of the room, it was a disappointment. This was a one star room with a three star price.
