Salem for a weekend

Posted May 21, 2015
Pros: location, history of the place Very old Hotel
Cons: We stayed another night they told us they would give us 10% off the rate but it turned out to be the same price as their online price.
Location: lots of tourist attractions near by Lots of restaurants near by
Booked the hotel not sure what to expect as the room that was booked was for a double and a very small room. they upgraded us to a queen also a small room, but apparently bigger than the original. Staff were helpful and nice. Very old hotel lots of pictures and history. Great location we walked all around checking out the town.

Hübsches, historisches, zentrales Hotel in Salem

Posted Apr 19, 2015

WOW

Posted Apr 16, 2015
Pros: Very helpful and extremely friendly staff.
Location: Off the Interstate a bit but worth the drive - GPS was a must. Historical sites abound in this centuries old hamlet. Fine dining, shops & fall fests
Booked on Expedia for $104 - Great deal on a wonderfully classic hotel just a short walk from dining, night life and history. Only stayed one night but would definitely return for a longer stay.

A very charming hotel...

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: Hotel restaurant: great pancakes.
Cons: see above
Location: House of Seven Gables, Witch Museum, tours, waterfront...
…and in a perfect location for seeing the essential Salem attractions. One thing: open the windows before a patron checks in. When closed for a while and with the heat pumping in, one can smell the musty age of the hotel. In my case, it caused a headache but by day two with the window opened, it was fine.
