Poor Value For MoneyPosted Aug 16, 2014
Location: It is near most attractions in Salem
Avoid this hotel as it is at most a Two Star hotel. The ceiling paint in the bathroom was peeling off. The walls must be suffering from damp as the wallpaper was bubbling up all over the place. The windows were so dirty it made it hard to see the view. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. For the price paid, breakfast should have been included! The room size was tiny and the hotel in general looks like it needs a really good clean and repaint!

Really large family room with 2 bathroomsPosted Aug 2, 2014
Lots of space for a family of five! We're always struggling to find hotels that we can all fit in 1 room if only a 1-night stay. This was perfect! We were arriving late off our flight and called ahead to have roll away put in our room, and it was perfect when we got there! 2 full bathrooms, either end of the room made getting on the road the following morning so much quicker.

Beautiful hotelPosted Jul 24, 2014
My family and I enjoyed our stay here even though it was only for 1 night. Large, clean room. Staff was friendly. Close to all attractions.

Nice Hotel, central to all of Salem's amenitiesPosted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: It's central position to all of Salem's amenities
Cons: Just make sure you are not put in the smallest room
This was a lovely hotel, the only thing that let it down was the tiny room we were allocated. When checking out we did mention it and receptionist said that it was the smallest room they had got. It's worth checking out your room size when booking. It's OK for one night but there isn't really any wardrobe space for clothes.

Beautiful hotelPosted Jun 30, 2014
Cons: Nothing to suggest.
Location: The Witch museum. The hop on hop off trolley. The harbour area.
This is a historic hotel, very we'll appointed and maintained. Staff were great. Loved our four poster bed. Close to sites. Walk to harbour area. Salem has an interesting history. We loved the town as well. The pub in the hotel was fantastic.

Beautiful Spot, Staff Go The Extra Mile!Posted Jun 25, 2014
What a great stay in a beautiful, historic hotel. The location is perfect for getting around Salem. I could walk to all the historic sites and the wharf. I had a small room that had a view of the other side of the building. The 2 piece bathroom was in a separate compartment than the shower (perhaps a converted closet.) I knew what to expect and it did the job, it was great. Very clean. For a small hotel it has all the amenities. The hotel goes the extra mile to provide comfort: 24 hour complimentary tea/coffee (great coffee!), clean towels, quality bath products, great bar, pool access, free parking. I couldn't ask for more. The only glitch was checking out. I needed directions to hop on to the Interstate. I asked the staff when checking out but Richard from Accounting had no clue which way was up... He answered the phone twice while dealing with my request and he commented that he couldn't make reservations so those people had to call back in 15 minutes. (Personally, I would have booked another hotel.) He tried 3 times to give me directions all to wrong places and the whole process took 25 minutes. It would have been nice to have a regular front desk clerk when at 7am when checking out is at it's peak. I wouldn't let one bad apple spoil my vacation. Overall, my stay was fantastic!

Comfortable, very pleasant.Posted Jun 12, 2014
Very comfortable; pleasant ambiance; good location; friendly, responsive staff. Our king bed room was (as advertised) on the small side but by no means cramped and had everything we needed. Restaurant and bar food were both excellent. We will stay here again.

4 DAYS IN SALEMPosted May 25, 2014
Pros: The reception area is attractive with plenty of comfortable seating with newspapers etc. Free car parking adjoining.
Cons: Nothing really. Maybe reduce the rates a little.
Location: Everything in Salem is very close to hand. Convenient for Boston via train. Close to Lexington and Concord
We stayed here in this well situated hotel for 4 nights. The room was small but had all necessary facilities. The room was cleaned every day and we had fresh towels daily. We had breakfast in the hotel which was very good value, comparable with breakfast in alternative venues in the area. We had a very pleasant waitress who was always very cheerful and attentive.
