Pros: Front desk and breakfast staff were all very friendly.
Cons: More gluten free breakfast items.
Location: Easy to access in downtown location.
Stayed here with my daughter while visiting Willamette College. It was easy to find and parking was free.

Best accommodations on my trip

Posted Mar 9, 2015
I've stayed at the Grand 3 times in the past 9 months. Nicest hotel I've stayed at on my trips. Room is nicely done, food is good and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Who ever handles hiring and training does a great job! Looking forward to my next stay!!!

Very nice get away in Salem

Posted Mar 9, 2015
Pros: Very warm and friendly staff and other guests as well.
Cons: Our room was very nice with a window to open. Upon going to bed, the vent fan on the roof across from us ran all night. Not much sleep that night.
Location: The river front park with the stern wheeler is fun. DaVinci Ristorante just a few blocks away is a must!
How nice it is to have such a beautiful facility in Salem. The lobby is beautiful and the staff very engaging.

Valentines weekend

Overall hotel was good. The room service from the fine dining was not the best and the food was delivered warm. The pepper shaker was full but solid as a rock. Yuck!

Great staff and good food. From house keeping to front desk the staff where very welcoming and helpful. Rooms where neat, clean and functional. Food was good and very handy to have in the building. Pool and gym looked great but no time to use them on this trip.

Probably nicest hotel in Salem.

Posted Jan 16, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Wish it had central heat/air instead of the unit on the outside wall.
Location: Capitol, Willamette University, heart of downtown
Nice old hotel that is remodeled. Great location near Capitol and Willamette University. Lots of places to eat and restaurant in the lobby is really good.

Great experience!

Wonderful hotel in the heart of downtown Salem. The staff was very friendly and always checking on any need we might have . The rooms were large and very comfortable . Would definitely stay there again. The restaurant, Bentley's connected to the hotel was an excellent dining experience. I can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel!

Nice hotel, no oversize parking on premises!

Posted Dec 31, 2014
Pros: The staff was very nice.
Cons: Have a more reasonable dinner menu/option available. There are not enough restaurants close by open on Sunday.
When they had us park our truck 2 blocks away because it wouldn't fit in their underground parking I expressed my concern about theft. The nice young woman at the counter then let us move it right in front of the hotel in the no parking area for the two nights we were there. Made us be able to relax and not worry!!!
