Amenities included in the rate are the Welcome Center, Mountain Top Lookout, fitness center, steam room, tennis court, kayaking, snorkeling, fishing equipment, mountain biking, hiking trails, beach chairs and beach towels. Amenities available for an additonal fee are private golf carts, pre-arrival grocery stocking, private cook, boat tours and horseback riding. Spa Treatments including massages, manicures and facials are available in your villa or poolside for an additonal fee. In addition to Private Plunge Pools at each villa, Recreo provides access to a secluded beach. Recreo also offers a concierge and multilingual staff. Airport transfers and transportation to local excursions is available for an additional fee.

Guests who want to enjoy every minute of their vacation, may choose to add a private cook and grocery stocking services to their experience. This a la carte service includes a private cook, pre-arrival menu planning, 3 personalized meals per day, beverages, one prepared snack and self-serve snacks. Guests who choose this option will have access to our pre-arrival concierge who will customize each guests’ food menu based on tastes and meal preferences. The full service kitchen will be pre-stocked upon arrival, and a dedicated cook available to serve delicious meals either in the villa’s private dining room, while viewing the sunset on the private patios or poolside. Costa Rican cuisine is full of culture, tradition and flavor. Staples include rice and beans, fruits, and vegetables. The food is not particularly spicy but rather seasoned with natural herbs, most commonly cilantro. Your menu can incorporate these staples, or not, pending your preferences. Guests can enjoy dining either indoors in the main dining room of their villa, poolside or on adjoining patios. Menu's can be tailored to individual dietary concerns or preferences including those of individuals in large groups.

The Villas at Recreo are located near the city of La Cruz in the North Pacific Guanacaste region of Costa Rica only 1 hour 30 minutes northwest from the Liberia airport overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Bahia Salinas. Isla Bolaños National Wildlife Refuge is just a few minutes from Recreo in Bahía Salinas where it was established to protect nesting sites for Brown Pelicans and Magnificent Frigate birds and is a favorite spot for bird enthusiasts. Recreo is located just 20 minutes from the Nicaraguan border and day or overnight trips to Granada or San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua are popular. Rincon de la Vieja Volcano is also a popular day trip from Recreo. At this National Park, guests can observe evidence of the country’s volcanic activity: mud baths, geysers, caverns, natural saunas, steaming baths and hot water lagoons. Guests will find activities ranging from canopy and zipline tours, white water rafting, horseback riding to the waterfalls, hiking, rock climbing and relaxing in the thermal waters and healing mud. The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or nearby; fees may apply.

Recreo has a full time professional masseuse available for treatments offered poolside or in the privacy of each villa. Services include massages, manicures, pedicures and facials. Hair and makeup services are also offered for weddings or other special occasions.
