Overnight stop on the way to BanffPosted Sep 28, 2013
Cons: Sound proofing, updating
The room was ok but there was a lot of noise late on, slamming of doors which shook the room.

Nice but....Posted Aug 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel was nice but it is in need of some updating. I did see that they are going to be renovating the lobby area to have a better dining area and they will be able to have a better continental breakfast service. I think that this will help their business very much. My only other complaint is that our backs were hurting the next morning. While I understand that mattress firmness is a personal preference type of thing, it would have been nice if they were softer. The woman who runs the place is very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. We had to get directions from her a couple of times and she had suggestions of what activities to take part in which was very appreciated.

Good valuePosted Aug 10, 2013
Pros: Good price, friendly staff.
Location: Just off the TransCanada - very convenient.
Everything was simple and clean. Staff were very friendly. The breakfast area needs expanding, but it was fine for what it was. Great value for an overnight passing through.

Not a good ideaPosted Jul 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
Skip this one unless it is the last option. No pool. A breakfast not to get exited about.. High price point. Forget it. Look further.

Salmon Arm Super 8Posted Jul 30, 2013
Pros: The lady at the counter was pleasant.
Cons: A no noise policy after 10 p.m.
Our experience was terrible. Both nights they were moving new mattresses into rooms and all night we could hear the plastic ripping off and moving furniture around. One late evening we her vaccuming across the hall. So it was not a pleasant experience and won't be returning anytime soon.

Once the noisy clientele left the bar at 2:00 AM there was little chance of getting back to sleep. We left early.

The staff here were not very accommodating in any way. Everything from the rooms to the breakfast were done to the bare minimum standards. Even at the price, I would rather pay more to stay somewhere else next time.
