Not your best choice

Posted Dec 26, 2014
Pros: Not much
Cons: Get rid of the overpriced Bistro, offer free coffee, update the carpets and rooms. Fix the heater/AC units
I have stayed at different Courtyards before and had very good experiences. This Courtyard offers no free breakfast (you can buy breakfast from "The Bistro" though), not even free coffee. The rooms and halls feel antiquated, although they were clean. For a better experience, I usually stay at the Draper Springhill Suites (which is the same chain - but offers free breakfast) which is the same price. My reservation was for three nights, I left after the first night. The Draper Springhill Suites is fully updated, offers free coffee, tea, and breakfast, and is the same price.

Dear traveler, Thank you for staying with us here at the Sandy Courtyard. Courtyard Brand does not offer complimentary breakfast but we do have the Bistro as an option. The Marriott Brands that do offer breakfast is Fairfield Inn, SpringHill Suites, Residence Inn, and TownePlace Suites by Marriott. I apolgize for the confussion of other possible Courtyard's not upholding the Brand standards therefore confusing our guest. We strive for consistancy across our Brand.

Right off the freeway.

We were in town for a wedding. There are a lot of nearby restaurants, and plenty of shopping. The staff was all friendly and very willing to accommodate our needs. The restaurant in the lobby has good food with reasonable prices, fast service and friendly staff. There was a trash can of rotten food left in our room from the previous guests, but there were no other cleanliness issues.

Please a accept our apology for the sour smell coming from the carpet. I've forwarded your comment on to our housekeeping department. We should have caught this while cleaning the room. Feels like home

Posted Oct 4, 2014
Pros: The garden area... the bright, cheerful lobby with all the seating and accoutrements, big screen display of the current news... and excellent staff!
Cons: Maybe a larger more full-service restaurant with greater number of entrée choices.
Location: A nice mall (but I couldn't visit it), expensive but excellent restaurant (Carvers), Iggy's sports restaurant - nice and not noisy...
Has all you will need, even without having a car. Front desk service is totally awesome! There is a mall only a few steps away (across the street), and a few restaurants across the other street... great for someone who is car-less. Rooms are nice, clean, well-serviced. The lobby is very bright and cheerful, and well designed for larger or smaller more intimate groups, with little "cubbies which seat four" with a TV and remote will all the channels. Nice for eating alone or with a few friends. The Bistro is a minimal restaurant but very serviceable with excellent people running it. Perfect for breakfast to go and stay. Additionally, there are all the fitness details and a nice pool... surrounded by glass and overlooking a beautiful garden area with lots of comfortable seating again for large or small groups. An excellent experience overall... but I'm not surprised because it lives up to the Courtyard standard.

Mid Trip Stopover

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: close to travel line and easy to get to from freeway. It is a Marriott!
Cons: Only spent one night so really cannot speak to this
Location: Only stayed one night as stop-over point on longer trip
Arrived late evening. Everything ready for us. check-in very easy. Room spacious and comfortable. Went to eat at the deli, food was very good. Although I had never heard of a "Turkey Rueben" my wife said was excellent. Would have preferred my roast beef to hot.

Great hotel. Very clean and spacious room. The only problem was we couldn't get connected to the WiFi. Not a huge problem but a little irritating.
