Great stay-cation!

Pros: Easy to find, great downtown location
Location: Right smack dab in downtown SLC, loads of restaurants and shopping nearby, even a way cool museum!
My husband and I stayed here a few nights for our anniversary. We booked the jaccuzi suite and it turned out much better than I'd imagined it was going to be for the price we paid. My only complaint was that our room was a little dusty (I'm assuming it hadn't been occupied in a while) and the halls were extremely busy between 2-4am. The staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond for us. (I'd had horrible heartburn and bought tums in the lobby and the gal at the counter offered to get me a glass of milk from the kitchen as well, what a life saver!)

Could do better in Salt Lake City
Posted Jan 10, 2013
Pros: Room quite a good size and breakfast if less crowded
Cons: Checkin not that friendly and some parts of hotel dated
Location: Ok but would prefer closer to downtown and Temple square
Not a great hotel but just average. Breakfast very good although very crowded when hotel full as it was the night we stayed. A lot of road works in area so this made it inconvenient. A good half hour walk to Temple square

Pros: Clean and quiet.
Location: We walked to Simply Sushi restaurant the rented movies at the Red Box at McDonald's next door to the hotel.
We spent just one night and as usual with Crystal Inn's it was a nice stay. The staff was friendly and efficient. Our room were clean. We had a nice stay and I would recommend it to anyone.

It's a nice hotel in the downtown area of Salt Lake City. The staff there is very kind to show us how to get to the Temple. The breakfast is good.

Great hotel for anyone!

This was my second time staying at this hotel. The first time was on a girls trip last summer and the second time was with my husband and children this summer. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The seller for me is the breakfast buffet. Great variety both mornings we were there. My family really enjoyed the pool as well. Great location in downtown Salt Lake. No need to look for hotels in Salt Lake anymore, we found a keeper!

Good all round hotel.

Hotel was absolutely fine, clean room, good service and good breakfast. Location is good too - easy walk to downtown / temple district and tram stop. The only complaint I have is that the State Liquor Store is on the corner of the block, right by the hotel. This meant that when coming back to the hotel in the evening (walking) there were quite a few dodgy characters hanging about by the hotel - which was a little concerning - although didn't actually cause us any problems..

Pros: Housekeeping Staff did a fantastic job
Cons: Upkeep on the hotel
Location: a little dicey.
Frequent traveler in this area and have stayed about 5 times in the past at this hotel, however this time it did not measure up to previous standards. The location, the area has gone down a bit and does have quite a few more vagrants in the area than previous time, but nothing too horrible. The Breakfast was good, seems under staffed as on 3 of the 4 days there they didn’t have the main foods for a bit of time or were out of plates or silverware. However the problem was fixed within 10 minutes each time. The Room was clean and nice, beds a little firm but nothing too horrible. smoking inside at random hours. Again they were in no smoking rooms and the people staying in the rooms were doing the smoking, so its hard to fault the hotel for this one. The main issue we had with this stay was the upkeep on the hotel. When we walked in to go to our room, fixtures were hanging off the wall, wall paper was hanging and trim was missing. My first thought was “wow what a dive”. After 2 days of seeing some of these things I asked and was then told of the remodeling going on. This is where the hotel should have had a please excuse our dust type sign, something to let patrons know of the remodeling. Also one morning at a table next to ours at breakfast, water began dripping out of the light fixture above the table… it was a little alarming. So it wasn’t the worst stay in a hotel we’ve ever had, just disappointing compared to previous stays at the location.

Good price, but choose another if possible

Pros: close to highway
Cons: The hotel !
Location: Not downtown at all
Not downtown Salt Lake City. Take 25 minutes to walk to temple square. Hobos around the streets of the hotel. Room need to be refurbished. Breakfast include, but not very good. Pretty stupid staff, need to improve the quality of the service a lot. Very ordinary stay. Will go somewhere else another time.
