Great Hotel!

Posted Apr 18, 2014
Pros: microwave/refrigerator in room breakfast cleanliness location free airport shuttle friendly staff vast array of TV channels
Cons: sleep timer on TV complementary lotion as it is a very dry climate
This is a great hotel to stay at for a decent rate. The rooms are VERY clean. The staff is very helpful and nice. The breakfast is wonderful and has a vast array of different types of food -- something for everyone. The bed was really comfy. I have fibromyalgia, and I didn't wake up sore once or have any problem sleeping on it. That is a HUGE plus for me, and my biggest concern in any hotel. Some people have had concerns about the neighborhood, but it's in a fine neighborhood. It's in the same neighborhood as basically all the downtown hotels. Yes, there are panhandlers nearby, but show me a city that doesn't have those in their downtown area. I was staying there by myself (a lone female), and at no point felt unsafe, even when walking by myself at night from the nearby train station (about 2 blocks away.) I had asked a local police officer if it was safe to do so before doing so, and he said it was completely safe (as I didn't know the area and would rather be safe than sorry when walking around any unknown area alone at night.) The decor isn't the most up to date, but I don't stay at hotels for decor. I stay for comfort and cleanliness, and this hotel had both. The price was wonderful considering the location and full breakfast. The free hotel shuttle to and from the airport was great too. I never needed a car. In short, it's a great hotel, and if I ever come to SLC again, I will be staying here.

Nice Hotel- Great Breakfast

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Having the two sinks separate from the tub and toilet area. Loved the breakfast!
Location: close to city creek mall. there is a McDonald"s right next door.
great value! You will be pleased with the choices at breakfast. The fruit was fresh, ripe and very tasty. Beds were comfortable and clean. Loved having two sinks separate from the tub and toilet area. Worked well with us girls.

28 years of marriage and loving time together

Pros: The hotel was nice and the large jetted tub was big enough for two. We could even angle the TV right and watch a movie as we relaxed in the bubbles.
Cons: The walls were a little thin in you could hear when people were filling their tub next door. But this didn't bother us too much. We would go back.
Location: We liked the shopping places Gateway and City Creek.
We enjoyed our stay. We did have to bring our own bubbles.

Great Value

The hotel met all our needs and the price was reasonable. Free Wi-Fi, free parking, better then average free breakfast buffet, indoor pool & hot tub, sauna, in room refrigerator and microwave. Two block walk to trolley which was in the free fare zone for visiting downtown, hotel shuttle. We would definitely go back if we travel to Salt Lake again.

Brewery Tour in SLC

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Location. Clean. Breakfast Buffet.
Location: The Depot, Temple Square, good microbreweries.
My brother and I were passing through and planned to stay for a couple of days to take in the microbreweries in the city. This hotel is located centrally to all the amenities a beer tourist could want.

Needed to get some spring shredding in but didnt want to spend a lot so i booked this hotel with my flight. I stayed mon- wed n paid $16.50/nite for a huge room with a king bed, couch n chair n a flat screen tv. The bkfst in the am was included n is huge. Im a health freak so i was happy they served a ton of fruit n oatmeal. Staff was awesome friendly n great attitudes.

Nice hotel in the lobby but in rooms are out dated

Posted Mar 30, 2014
Pros: Very Friendly Employees
Cons: rooms updated. Curfew for children hold parents responsible. Make the buffet table two sided so two lines can form.
Location: Zoo, shopping, temple
The lobby of this hotel gives you the expectation of a great stay but when you get in your room it becomes very disappointing. Our room was outdated and the mattresses were lumpy and hard and the people in the room above us were stomping on the floor and kept us up. Then there were people in the halls being too loud. On the upside the room was very big. The pool area was overrun by running, screaming kids which left no room for us or our child. We waited a couple hours and went back and it was still over run. Again very disappointing. The breakfast for the most part was good. You just have to wait in very long lines.
