2 bad things

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Showed up with reservations for a 2 bedroom suite and was told they didn't have that room but had 2 single bedroom suites for me. Not what I was looking for for a family vacation. Toilet was plugged on morning we were leaving. I called and asked for a plunger and was told they would bring one right up. We checked out an hour and a half later and still hadn't received the plunger.

Rooms smell funky

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: The Breakfast
Cons: Better pillows, garbage can in the bathroom, and odor control.
Location: This was a business trip so I didn't get much time to explore.
The first room I had on the first night had a really pungent odor that smelled like vinegar and mildew. Even with the window open and the AC running, the smell wouldn't go away. It was so bad I ended up switching rooms and although the other room didn't smell as bad, it was still a little funky and I woke up all congested. For a 3 star hotel, I was really disappointed. The pillows are also not that comfortable but on the bright side, they do have a pretty good breakfast.

This hotel was spotless, and the staff was unbelievably courteous and went out of their way to be helpful. We were quite sad to have to leave. I definitely recommend it, and will stay there again next time I travel to/through the area.

Our Hotel of choice in the area

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: Very comfortable mattresses and pillows, clean rooms, lots of little extras.
Location: Easy walk to Rio Tinto soccer stadium. Not far from a large mall.
We stay at the Sandy Hyatt House whenever we are in town for a ReAL Salt Lake soccer game, which is a few times per year. The location is perfect to walk to Rio Tinto Stadium, so we don't have to hassle with stadium parking. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. I always get the best night's sleep there! The staff is friendly, helpful, and professional. The complimentary breakfast is always good, with sausage, bacon, eggs, pancakes, oatmeal, fruit, etc, and a made-to-order omelet chef is on hand! We like everything about the Sandy Hyatt House, and for the price, it can't be beat.

Quick trip to Salt Lake

Posted Jun 12, 2014
Pros: Rooms are very comfortable, breakfast is excellent.
Cons: Use disposable cups in the bathrooms! Replace the sliding bathroom doors. They do not offer the privacy and noise reduction needed.
Location: South Towne Mall is nearby, the new Aquarium is in the area as well as numerous fine places to eat.
We enjoy staying at the Hyatt House in South Jordan. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is top notch.

Great Hotel

Posted May 27, 2014
Pros: clean, up-to-date rooms
Location: Close to a mall, many places to eat, Trax, and the REal Salt Lake Soccer Stadium.
This is a wonderful hotel! The rooms are spacious, clean, and up to date. We have stayed here on a couple of occasions, and have always liked it. The staff has always been helpful, the location is close to many things, but probably not quite walking distance, but a short drive. The free breakfast in the morning is very nice.
