“What a dump”
OK, so this is an extended stay property and that should have been a hint. I chose this hotel for proximity to my mother's house but a bit of a commute would not have been an issue compared to the horror of The Homestead. As I already stated we were asked if we wanted shampoo which sort of blew my husband out of the water. We have stayed at some pretty basic hotels in our time but this was a new one for us both. There were a number of hotel "guests" hanging about the balconies and when we went out for air the first thing we observed was a drug deal in the small wooded area behind the hotel. The elevator smelled bad and was dirty. Our room was old with a kitchenette and tired floors and one small bar of soap. At least we had our shampoo! There was no mattress pad on the bed and the towels were threadbare. And we paid a lot for our room. DO NOT EVER STAY HERE!!!!!!
“Skeevy but convenient”
The hotel is in a great location, but it's clear that it's not properly maintained. That, or it needs to be razed and rebuilt. I was on the second floor, and every time the sink upstairs ran, my sink filled with a soapy mess that reeked. The AC had confusing controls (window control + wall thermostat) and had an awful squeaking noise that kept me awake. The morning I checked out, the manager was out front helping someone vacuum up broken glass from their car that was broken into overnight. In sum, I will never stay here again.
“travel utah”
The hotel is in a location that is convenient for visiting my son and has some great stores within walking distance. I also like the fact that we can bring in foods and have breakfast right there and snacks, too! There is a walking trail behind the hotel, sunny porches, and coin-operated laundry facilities to use.
“SALT LAKE”
THE HOTEL STAFF IS FIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THE HOTEL LACKS GOOD TELEVISION RECEPTION, PROGRAMING AND USES OLD TUBE TV'S. INTERNET SERVICE IS AVAILABLE BUT ONLY IF ONE USES A LAPTOP. ROOMS ARE WELL USED, BUT CLEAN. NOT EXACTLY PERFECT BUT ACCEPTABLE FOR THE MONEY.
