Excellent hotel for excellent pricePosted Jan 19, 2015
Room was more than we expected. Suite offered all the comforts of home, with a nice resort feel. Was able to cook food. Comfortable bed and clean room. Would stay again. Dishwasher was noisy when ran though.

Two room suite for your familyPosted Dec 26, 2014
Pros: Two separate rooms off of the living area with one king and two queen size beds for my family of 6. Pull out couch in living area as well.
Location: Gateway outdoor mall within 2-3 blocks. Restaurants, movie theater and shops. Many homeless people in neighborhood, but patrolled and overall safe.
Overall, good experience. Breakfast before you hit the slopes. Nice environment.

Perfect.....butPosted Dec 9, 2014
Pros: Real dinners & breakfasts. Great all around place except heavy homeless population outside. Take your gun if you have to go out.
Cons: I give the hotel a well deserved "10". They can't help the homeless situation outside.
Location: Location is horrible but nice mall is less than a quarter mile. Take your gun.
The hotel is a "10" but across the street is the homeless shelter area for all of downtown. I don't have the right answer for the homeless issue, nobody does, but it makes the area unsafe. If you don't need to walk anywhere you'll be fine.

Hotel itself was pretty good, clean, well maintained. Rooms are well appointed, and quite comfortable. The only problem is the area has quite a few homeless people walking around at night, but that's the case with most downtown areas in any city.

Homewood Suites Salt LakePosted Nov 11, 2014
Hotel room was quite spacious with small kitchen. Became concerned with security of location when elevator from parking was not under key card lock. We never once had to use our key to access the entrance door to the elevator. The door from the parking deck was never locked. Anyone had access to all floors of hotel. Many homeless panhandlers are in this area. The fitness center was not checked for water and antibacterial wipes. Both were empty when I used the treadmill. Soap and coffee were not replenished during our three night stay. Mainly would not return because I did not feel safe!

Great hotel. Second year in a row.Posted Oct 31, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is the second year I've stayed at Homewood Suites during the Salt Lake City Comic-Con. The staff is friendly and polite. My room was spacious and clean. I love the full sized kitchen in my room that is available in case I don't feel like going out to eat. I did have breakfast downstairs each morning and it was delicious. The parking garage is convenient and well lit. Although this hotel is downtown and the neighborhood can appear a bit sketchy; I never feel unsafe. I even walked down to the planetarium near midnight one night and while I wouldn't recommend anyone else do that, I had zero problem walking alone. I will be attending Comic-Con again next year and will book my room at the Homewood Suites. My stay was just that enjoyable.
