Terrific location and décor is awesome!

Posted May 26, 2015
Pros: The room size, restaurant, location, lobby reception with coffee in the am -- all of it was refreshing.
Location: Easy access to everything downtown.
From the dog friendliness of it to the history of the building and the staff, this hotel is a don't miss.

Pros: Professional staff, friendly, accommodating when possible, everyone provided 5 star service.
Cons: Upon check-in, I wish I had been told about free coffee in the lobby. I spent a lot having it delivered to my room thinking that was the only option.
Enjoyed our short visit, a very different hotel experience from the normal chain hotel experiences. Everyone went out of their way to be helpful

Great Staff

Posted May 11, 2015
The staff is very courteous and quick to help. The rooms were really clean and the bed and pillows were very very comfortable. The restaurant was also very good. Only thing I would change, I wish the room was a tad larger but since we just basically slept there I can't complain.

Convenient to Downtown

Posted Apr 30, 2015
Pros: Room decor.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Lots of restaurants and shopping. Convention center within 2 blocks.
I was very pleased that the hotel was so close to the Convention Center and downtown shopping and restaurants. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and quiet. Food in The Vault was excellent. Nice work area in room.

Very Nice Hotel

Posted Apr 27, 2015
Location: Good location for restaurants.
I liked everything with the exception of the pillows. I was sure that all of the pillows in my room were foam so I called to get a feather pillow and was told that all of the pillows were feather. I've never seen feather pillows spring back and not give in when you put your head on them. I was told the following morning that my room might have had foam pillows. I will be more persistent next time. But it is a very nice hotel.

I have stayed at the Monaco many times over the last decade. One of the best hotels I have ever experienced. From the staff to the Bambara restaurant to the complimentary wine happy hour, you will not find a better hotel in Salt Lake City than Hotel Monaco.

Unique hotel in downtown SLC

Posted Apr 7, 2015
This hotel is unique and in the heart of downtown SLC. Cool building surrounded by other historic buildings. Friendly staff overall, but I was NOT impressed by a few issues. First off this is an animal friendly hotel. That is a nice feature but you MUST ask for a fur-free room - I did not know that... My allergies were going nuts! Secondly, be prepared to PAY a lot for parking. It was valet, but I was not informed of the price. We were also misinformed on regarding the restaurant inside the hotel (hours, etc.) I was also charged something from the minibar which we never touched. And lastly, there was a human hair on one of the "clean" bath towels. I'm not normally too picky, but too many things added up on this stay.
