Very impressedPosted Mar 4, 2014
We chose the Hyatt based of reviews on trip advisor. We were very pleased. Clean, comfortable, quiet. We were facing the back on the fourth flour. The staff were amazing. They were very kind and helpful. The breakfast delicious and a good variety (I'm vegetarian). My one grip is the internet. Perhaps it was because our room was at the end of the hall, but the wifi was practically nonexistent. I could connect, but it was so slow I couldn't get anything done. I had planned to work on my master's degree assignments, but had to wait until we were back home.

Great home away from home, respect for allergies.Posted Feb 21, 2014
Pros: Customer service
Location: Short distance to Flemings Steakhouse and downtown Salt Lake City.
Great breakfast. Extremely pleasant staff. Had trouble with the heater in the room and the staff came right away to correct the situation. My request for non feathers was taken seriously and taken care of before my arrival. This is the first time that I have had a hotel respect this request, usually it is a difficult requirement. They did a great job.

Great Location, However OutdatedPosted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: I liked that the location was downtown and central to where I needed to go and the staff were friendly.
Cons: Bedding could be updated. For it being the Hyatt I was pretty disapointed in the outdated and uncomfortable bedding.
Location: In a great location. Close to the Gateway Mall with various shops and dining
I have stayed in various other Hyatt Hotels and was expecting this to be of the same quality. I was extremely disappointed that upon checking in finding out that it was going to cost $40.00 for parking for the two nights that we stayed (for our two cars). However the parking lot was full so we had to park in the Gateway parking which I felt was very inconvenient. Once we arrived in our room, I was disappointed to find that the bedding was outdated and very uncomfortable. The fitted sheet kept coming off of the bed exposing the mattress. The bathroom light flickered. I just feel that the room was not up to Hyatt standards and would not stay in this hotel again.

Jazz games, Gateway Mall only 100 yards away!Posted Feb 7, 2014
Location: Could not have a better location for shopping , dinning and great entertainment all within a few hundred yards from the front door.
Rail line station for transportation only !00 yard away. Rail Line goes all the way to the airport. Located right in the heart of the Salt Lake City Downtown. LDS Temple , Utah State Capital Building, Energy Solutions Arena could all be seen from hotel. Great breakfast and coffee. NonSmoking hotel only, but nice areas are set up out side to accommodate smokers.

Great Salt Lake City StayPosted Feb 4, 2014
Pros: Just about everything! The staff, from front desk to maids, were extremely friendly and helpful! Front desk staff were problem solvers.
Cons: Not much of anything!
Location: I thought it was a great location. Within walking distance of many sites. I did not need to get a rental car.
Fantastic experience at the Hyatt Place Salt Lake City, UT! The staff was beyond helpful and friendly. Loved the rooms and the morning breakfast. It was so good, I ended up booking an extra night when I was originally going to move to a hotel close to the airport. Was not willing to give up a good thing!

Excellent hotel in downtown Salt Lake CityPosted Feb 1, 2014
This hotel was excellent value for money. Our room was spacious and clean. The customer service was excellent. We had breakfast included and being vegetarians they prepared delicious breakfast sandwiches for us, although it was a self service breakfast bar the staff members asked several times if they could get us anything else. The hotel was clean, welcoming and for only $89 it was a steal!
