Nice but outdated

Pros: Nice amenities
The room was very nice but the furnishings and bathroom were somewhat outdated. My son left his favorite stuffed animal and after several calls its apparent we are not going to get it back :(

Location was great! Easy access to and from the airport. Walking distance to downtown, shopping center and Temple area and access to local transportation. Hotel was very nice. Loved having access to not 1 but 2 very nice pool areas. It is a nice classy place to stay. We felt very comfortable here.

Great room with city view
Posted Jan 15, 2013
Pros: How clean and big the rooms were.
Cons: Our TV didn't work very well with all the static. It would be nice to have a DVD player and a mini fridge.
Location: Prime location, close to restaurants and entertainment.
Overall, we had a pleasant experience in the king suite. I would highly recommend.

Modern, Comfortable, and Friendly
Posted Jan 14, 2013
Our room was very spacious, with two double beds and plenty of space for clothes. cases, etc. It was bright and modern, and appeared recently decorated. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the check in/out process was straightforward and efficient. Breakfast wasn't included in the room price, but we still opted to eat at the hotel. The quality of the morning buffet was really good, and we felt it was worth the price. We would definitely stay there again on a subsequent visit to the area.

Good Value-Old Hotel
Posted Jan 10, 2013
Pros: Hotel is conveniently located, rates are very competitive, and the swimming pool is well-maintained and clean. Parking is free.
Cons: Proper operation of air conditioners, bathroom faucet and lamps. The cleaning items should leave the room fresh, not smelly.
Location: Conveniently located near city center, wher there is plenty of shopping and good restaurants.
The Little America Hotel is conveniently located only 6 blocks south of downtown Salt Lake City. I was pleased at the hotel rates, and the outdor swimming pool was very nice. The hotel staff was courteous, but the on-site maintenance staff did not take the time for determine what was wrong with my room's air conditioner (which was very old and noisy). I spent a very warm, uncomfortabe night as a result of the air conditioner going off and on all the time and not cooling down the room adequately. Water from the bathroom faucet just trickled out, and there was an unpleasant odor that seemed to be a result from cleaning the bathroom. Otherwise, the Little America is a good bargin, and - other than the air conditioner & bathroom faucet- is holding up well. The grounds are maintained nicely, and rooms are nicely done. Parking is free, unlike most of the other downtown Salt Lake City hotels. The hotel is very old, so expect some maintenance issues. Thoroughly check out air conditioner, bathroom and lamps before settling in.

Great Experience
Posted Jan 7, 2013
Pros: The charm, cleanliness, hospitality, food, room size and comfort
Cons: Just the decor in the dining room...it's dark and very outdated.
Location: We are from close by, so we didn't actually participate in the actvities close by, but there are many places to see and eat or visit.
I wasn't sure what to expect for our stay after reading reviews. Most of them were positive, but because of the few negative I was concerned. I'm thrilled to say we were very happy with our stay! When we checked in they were out of the room we had reserved and so we recieved a free complimentary upgrade! It was a wonderful room, quiet, very clean and a super comfy king sized bed! The restaurant was fantastic, but I do think the decor is severly outdated! However, the service and food was great and I would recommend anyone to stay at the Little America!

A find in the heart of Salt Lake City.

Pros: Restaurant
Cons: Entrance and exit on a busy street because of renovation.
Location: Near the courthouse and within walking distance to Market Street restaurants
Excellent in every way. Renovations are in progress, including new roof. Very comfortable grounds with lush landscaping in the heart of Salt Lake City. Staff very helpful, and breakfast buffet a value with fresh fruit and omelettes to order.

Great experience

Hotel was being remodeled in some places. Our room was clean but the fridge stuck out of it's space in the bathroom. That was the only complaint. Everything else - staff, pools, etc. - was perfect.
