Disappointed

Posted Sep 14, 2014
Immediately told we were in annex & not in main hotel. Room was clean, but very old fashion & conservative, plus out away from main building. Pool is excellent & clean. Best part of the experience. Not a place I would stay again. Staff stiff, formal & unfriendly.

Great location downtown.

Little America & Grand America are the best!!! Stay here if you're walking downtown to Temple Square or riding the light rail.

Terrible Place to Stay

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: Absolutely nothing.
Cons: Tear down the place and build a new one.
The hotel was awful. It was pouring rain, and I had all my luggage. I had to ask someone to help me because my room was literally blocks away from the main hall where you check in. The woman at the desk seemed surprised I asked for a cart or something for my bag, like it was putting her out in some way. The rooms were TINY. The bed was supposed to be a queen, but could not have been bigger than a full. The carpet was filthy, the bathroom was dirty. The restaurant at the hotel was closed so I ate in the coffee shop. The food was below the level of mediocre, and there were multiple flies buzzing around. It was a horrible experience, and I will never go back.

Neat Hotel

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Friendly Staff, Good Food in restaurant, Comfortable room
Location: Right in the middle of Salt Lake City, near many places to eat and walking distance to The Salt Palace (about 5 or 6 blocks).
Very nice staff, friendly environment. Very clean room. The food was good too. I love this place. Its got that Stephen Kings The Shining feel to it. Minus the ghosts.

I would highly recommend this hotel. Beautiful garden rooms and spacious rooms. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, I was sorry I didn't stay longer!!

The staff

Posted Sep 7, 2014
The staff was rude, especially the front desk staff. I stood waiting to check in over 5 minutes while two young women completely ignored me, both made eye contact with me so I know they knew I was waiting. Then when asked for directions to my room was handed a map and told to "walk past the fountain" . The bell staff was not much better, felt I was running a marathon through the hallways to keep him in sight, so I could find my room which was located in another building across from main hotel. Location and cleanliness of hotel are only nice things I have to say about this place

cute courtyard room

Posted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: in Downtown SLC, nice pool, dressing room and sauna. exercise equipment up to date with tv"s. Late checkout at Noon. Good food in the Coffee Shop Cafe
Location: Temple Square, Church History Museum, Gateway Mall with Clark Planetarium, Build a Bear Workshop and restaurants. Also the Chlidren's Museum
We loved the cheaper rate of staying in the courtyard room but having access to all the fancy Hotel stuff in the tower part of the hotel.

The room was spacious and very comfortable

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: large rooms
Location: near convention centre
Nice large comfortable room. Our room was street side and was very noisy we could not open the window. About a 20 minute walk to the convention centre.

Great energy

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: the staff and the fact that they met every request i had (microwave, fridge etc) open to answering questions and offering high quality suggestions.
Cons: the keys didn't work numerous times and i found it to be a long walk back to the desk cause i have a broken ankle to get it looked after .
I was totally surprised and really loved staying at this hotel. It was nice and quite and i felt really safe and taken care of when i had a request. Myself and my 2 kids really enjoyed the room and the swimming pool.
