Great place to stay near the University of Utah.

Pros: Location and staff.
My husband and I stayed there for an event, the staff were very pleasant and welcoming. They answered all of our questions and the driver of the shuttle was most amazing. He took and dropped us off at a restaurant and offered to come pick us up, just needed to call. The room was a typical room, nothing fancy. It was quiet, I couldn't hear the people next door or noise throughout the hotel. We had a beautiful view of the mountain and sunrise. I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay near the University of Utah (school, hospital, Red Butte, museum, it's close to it all).

Pros: location
Cons: see above
Location: close to all downtown activities
room layout not good around bathroom & closet. bathroom door would open by itself...had to wedge paper to keep it closed. conference room on 4th floor was used to feed a basketball team. apparently fish was served because it stunk to high heaven for a day & a half

Pros: Very nice staff great location. Starbucks in the lobby.
Location: Red Butte Garden is nearby, City Creek Shopping Center, Trolley Square
The staff was very friendly when I checked in, very helpful and knowledgable about the area. This hotel is very clean and beautiful. I love the Chihuly glass sculpture in the atrium. Gorgeous views of the mountains and the city. This hotel is close to Primary Children's Hospital, University of Utah Hospital, LDS Hospital, Shriner's Children's Hospital, Salt Lake Regional Medical Hospital and the Veterans Hospital.

Fantastic Hotel with very welcoming staff!

Pros: Friendly staff and beautiful hotel
Location: Near the city center and quiet environment.
The moment you enter the hotel, the staff makes you feel at home. The very open concept hotel is beautiful and the fireplace surrounded by comfortable chairs are calling you. Great atmosphere around the bar. The room was very modern and super clean. Very good value for money! Would come back longer any time!

Nice hotel close to downtown

Posted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, free shuttle, nice rooms
Cons: more insulation in walls
The room was very nice and the staff was extremely friendly. However, the toilet ran constantly. There was also a party going on which was very loud and annoying. It seemed like the walls were thin and we could hear everything through them.
