Close to the collegePosted Nov 30, 2013
Pros: the decor
Cons: continental breakfast - coffee/tea/movies on the television, free wifi
Location: THe location is very close the University guest house -- which offers all the freebies you would expect to be included in your room rate.
Staff was great - but the extras were crap. No in room TV movies, everything was an extra. A nice room is good --- but compared to other places I have stayed -- Id expect more from Marriot

Overall --excellant visit first time to locationPosted Nov 11, 2013
Everything was great overall very convient, the down side was the shower head that was broken, Leaking and should be replaced. Beds were excellant the restrauant was very convenient and transportation within 2 miles worked well around the university area Transportation from the airport is require to the Marriot get a taxi, limo other wise you can use trax which will take approx 45 min (local low speed electric rail system) transfer is rehired from the red line.

Great location, nice staffPosted Oct 28, 2013
Pros: Competitive pricing, great location
Cons: Better maintenance of rooms. I don't feel I should have to be the one to tell the hotel what is wrong with their room. Cleaning staff should.
Location: Closes to U of U, downtown, Sugarhouse. Great views of the beautiful mountains.
Overall our stay was very pleasant and we would stay here again. There were a couple of maintenance issues with our room that I am going to contact the hotel directly on. We have stayed at 6 or 7 different hotels in the past year, and this is the first one that I have had a back ache after a nights sleep. I don't know if they have options for more $$ better beds, but before I book next time, that will be a question I will be asking.

the bathroom door is see thru so at night when you are asleep and need to go the bathroom, it totally lights up the whole room! ! ! Also, we were at an event there at the Marriott that went late into the night, yet around 830 am housekeeping was cleaning the room right across from our room! ! ! Banging doors, clanging glasses, vacuuming, etc. ! I opened the door and said something, but she kept right on going ! ! ! So we got up and checked out !

Nice hotel next to the mountainsPosted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: The cleanliness, the comfort, and the staff.
Cons: The bed was rather uncomfortable, despite having six wonderful pillows. I have a bad back, and it wasn't very comfortable.
Location: The location was amazing, right next to the mountains, but I didn't do any activities near the hotel, although there are many things available to do.
I was attending an event at the hotel, but had never stayed at a Marriott before. I was glad I stayed at this hotel, being so close to the event, and the room was clean, comfortable, and the in-room dining experience was great. The staff was friendly, helpful, and very knowledgable about the area.
