Pros: location, as it was right off the I-15
Cons: Breakfast was dreadful
Was easy to find and had a nice pool an a very small exercise room. Bathroom was new and clean, but the beds were hard and made my back hurt.

Very disappointed

Posted Jul 28, 2015
We checked in around 6 pm we had two rooms we went to our rooms and they had not been cleaned yet. So we told clerks and they gave us new rooms. The next rooms were ok but candy wrappers behind bed etc. The pol was not heated and the juccuzzi had mucky dirty water. So kids didn't want to swim. The next morning we went for breakfast at 8:30 and there was no fruit or yogurt. I asked and they said oh the truck didn't come in. They ran out toast until I asked for more they ran out of eggs sausage and juice by 8:50! So my husband didn't get breakfast. Then I get home 5 days after we check out and I have incidental charges for both rooms so I call the manager and he was very nice and said they released the incdental hold when we checked out, to check with outr bank.I realize all hotels have hold on your card But it is usually released once checked out. I felt it was way vet priced. the rooms were nice and updated just not very clean. Staff were ok not real helpful. It is not a best western as advertised on Internet and I can guess why they pulled out. Would never stay again

A lovely hotel at a very good price

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Pros: The price was very fair and I was pleased to find the hotel so nice for the price.
Cons: The breakfast equipment and supplies weren't always working. Out of lots of items.
Location: Close to shopping/restaurants and the freeway.
The staff is new at this hotel and more training is needed. Breakfast was always a little off the mark. Either they were out of supplies, even basics like milk or the drink/juice machines didn't work. Some days there was a good variety of items. Rooms were very clean, looked new, and we were in a very quiet area of the hotel as requested. Everything seems very clean and attractive. I like the hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Clean, comfortable, and affordable

Posted Jul 27, 2015
It isn't in the most attractive of neighborhoods, but it is right off I15 in the middle of everything we wanted to do. Just down the road on the other side of I15 is a grocery store and new fast food places such as Culvers and Popeyes. You can get to state street in two minutes which quickly takes you to Fashion Place mall and many nice restaurants and shopping. We always felt safe, the breakfast was good, the rooms are updated with flat screen TVs and comfortable beds. The pool and hot tub could use some updates, but the kids enjoyed themselves. They aren't picky. The nightly rate we got could not be beat. Don't be turned off by the exterior. We spent so much time doing things around town and just needed a nice place to sleep. All of the staff was very friendly too. This is our second time staying here, and we were satisfied with our stay.

Eeh...

Pros: The housekeeping staff were super helpful. The room was clean and nicely decorated.
Cons: Train people better or better yet, replace them!!! The air conditioning had a mind of it's own.
Location: It was quite a ways from the stuff we wanted to do.
Let me start off by saying the room was clean and nicely updated. The staff is a joke. Like "Am I on Candid Camera?" joke. We checked in (or tried to) about 15 minutes after booking on your site. I understand it can take anywhere from 15-20 minutes for the hotel to receive our reservation. They hadn't received it yet, which is fine. I get that. So we waited in the lobby for about 5 minutes and the desk clerk said okay, I can check you in now. She gave us room 210 but when we went to room 210, the housekeeping staff said it wasn't near being done and Joseph, took us down to the desk and was as nice as can be, tried to clear up the mix up. We waited for about 15 minutes and they told us to go to room 133, which is downstairs. My whole family was waiting for me upstairs with all our luggage, etc. In the meantime, someone in house keeping told my hubby to go to room 226. So, back upstairs I went and that's the room they put us in. Wait it gets better..... After doing a little sightseeing, we got back to our room around 8 pm and the previous girl that was working the desk was now gone and two other women were there. We walked up to our room (that has all of our stuff in it) and our key does not work. My hubby and I go back downstairs and tell one of the women working there and she pulls the paperwork and says someone else is staying in 226!!! One of the women says "Don't blame me!" Really! Someone finally got it figured out. But the desk staff is inefficient, at best!

Loved it!

Posted Jul 16, 2015
I was very happy with my stay (aside from a fairly rude housekeeper who I only saw once). The room was very clean, and I was happy to see that my room had a microwave and fridge (comes in handy with kids). The breakfast selection was good, and the breakfast staff was friendly. It was also in a good area, in the middle of a lot of attractions. It has a very nice outside area with a pool, and the entire hotel is nice and clean! I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Disappointing

Posted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: Close to freeway and restaurants
Cons: Fix bathroom fixtures.......bad leak in hallway. Hallway floor soaked.
Location: Not the best area but if you drive a couple of miles there are nice restaurants nearby.
Disappointed with hotel. Changed ownership after booking. Stayed twice because passing through for vacation. We got the same room both times as well. Loud commuter train passed by every 10 min or so. Right outside our room.

Best western with midvale inn stickers

Posted Jul 5, 2015
This hotel is a joke. First it is best western. When we arrived the best western sign was still out front and I thought the GPS was not working correctly. After talking to two different hotel workers, one of them finally confirmed this was midvale inn. The entry way was in decent shape. We checked in and were put into the wrong room. I booked 2 queen beds and we were given a single king bed room. After going back to the front desk and them reconfirmed what I booked we were given the correct room. The room was very cheaply decorated. The paint was chipped in several locations and most the fixtures were lose as if the lowest bidder installed them. The rooms are loud as well. You can hear tvs from the other rooms, people in the hallways, doors closing constantly. We could even hear the waffle timer during breakfast.
