Lots of stains

Posted Aug 14, 2014
They were in the middle of doing some updates, but it needs a lot more than a few updates! There were many stains throughout the hotel on the floors, walls and ceilings! Service was good, but not a pleasant atmosphere.

Hotel is under renovation. Hall and room carpets stained. Side door entrances were missing locks. Outside front and side with litter. In general it was not a pleasant stay.

Last minute booking, not many options left

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Booked a stay at this hotel for OR show. Was pretty late to look into hotels, so had to stay all the way out here past the airport. Not the nicest place, was pretty sketchy actually. Hallways look torn up, room had a funky odor, continental breakfast pretty mediocre. My spectacular view of the pool helped me decide that there's no way I was going to try and swim in it with all the crap floating around in it (literally there was scrap wood and construction debris floating around). Food at the restraint took over an hour to arrive at my table (I ordered ONE quesadilla!) because of kitchen mishaps. At least the doubletree is within walking distance! I would only stay here if no other options, and that's exactly what happened. I don't plan on coming back.

This hotel is in disrepair.

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Almost everything could be improved.
First the security key slider on the door wasn't working, but the window next the door was open so you could reach in and open the door. There was a trash can in the hall to collect rain from the ceiling. Carpets were awful in the hall and room. The bed and linens were clean and the bathroom also. The air conditioner was good, a little noisy. No, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. I hope they are able to clean up and repair it.

Just okay.

Had problems getting on the internet to print boarding pass. Only one of their computers worked. Breakfast was suppose to be til 9:30, but there wasn't' t much left at 8:30. Only had one machine for juice, and it was out of order. They still serve the powder coffee creamer - most hotels have flavored liquid now. We told them the night before that we needed a shuttle to the airport at 9:30. We had to wait 20 minutes for the driver.

Ramada SLC Airport

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Cons: They are doing remodeling on the outside; however, the inside needs major remodeling.
Old and smelly. The tub/shower had mold and the air conditioner barely worked. They are remodeling the outside, so at 6 a.m. the workers started banging on the walls.

Staff wasn't welcoming. Hotel itself was dirty but my room was ok. Staff gave me another person's room that someone was already in. Didn't seem over friendly. I wasn't impressed. And the restaurant was awful and it took forever for our food to come out.

Construction would be nice to know about.

Pros: Beds and shower.
Cons: Smell
Location: Close to airport in the middle of nowhere.
The beds were comfortable and it was quiet but it was hard to get to the room as you have to step over consrtuction material. It may be a while before they get the smoke smell out of there also.
