“Alex K”
Look people, this is not a 5 star, but its small, close to everything and for the most part the price is extremely very reasonable with a free shuttle to/from airport you cant beat that if you are looking just to overnight in the hotel and the rest of the day to go skiing, hiking, biking and explore SLC. Otherthise got to Marriot or Little America or smth like that. Cheers,
“Miserable place”
Sad place, heat didn't work, shower dribbled.
“Great Stay”
Our family traveled in from Nebraska, Denver, Texas and New Mexico. We enjoyed our stay at this Hotel. It may not be top notch however it did meet our needs and we shall be staying again at Royal Garden.
“Dirty and poor WiFi”
I couldn't keep a WiFi connection for more than 5 minutes if I could connect in the first place. My room was also filthy. Carpet stains, rust, etc.
“I'll definitely go back and recommend it to others.”
The overall service was very good. The breakfast was copious and satisfying every health condition. The location was perfect, close to the main places we wanted to visit and to the shopping centers. The only thing we would like to report is the condition of the fawcet in the bathtub that was profusely dripping all day and night long. It should have been checked and fixed before we moved in. The fawcet in the sink also was dripping every time we turned on the water. Nevertheless they were fixed the day before we left. In principle I strongly recommend it for those on a tight budget.
“Won't stay here again”
The room was okay - fit my needs for a quick overnight before getting out early. The smoke alarm started beeping at 4:30 am. Called front desk to take care of it. The told me maintainance didn't arrive until 6:30 am. Wouldn't even bring me a new battery for me to put in to fix the problem. No cable TV. Bathroom paint was coming off the walls and ceiling. Shower head not great (low pressure). Bathroom floor sticky in spots. Garbage from previous guests under chairs and behind tables. Spend a little more, and stay somewhere better.
“Horrified”
This hotel was disgusting! Major Problem: They obviously have never removed the bathmat, because there was MOLD growing in the bathtub under the mat. Side note: Parking lot was ridiculous!
“Not Impressed”
This is the worst hotel I have ever been to. DO NOT go there. The walls and ceilings were torn and tearing. It was cramped, there was hardly enough space to walk. They didn't have good management and the parking lot didn't have enough parking for 1/2 the quests. The breakfast was not worth it, we went down the street to a grocery store before we ate there. The trash cans were covered in guck and old crusted moldy food. This place was discusting.
“Had to play musical rooms to get a decent one”
After many changes, I finally got a decent room which I was happy with for the price. The first night, I liked my room enough at first (although it seems that they need a new vacuum as it felt dusty in there), EXCEPT that I was kept awake by a vibrating and noisy ice machine next to the room. It literally shook my bed and not in a soothing way. I called that night and they said that they could move me to a different room on the same floor the next day. In the morning but they said to come back at 11am. came back at 11am only to be told they couldn't change me til later in the day. Was shown two other rooms that were mildew filled and gross both of which I declined. I finally got a room in the first newer and nicer building on the second floor away from the ice machine as they had promised me and they finally agreed. My final room was actually nice and the maintenance guy who carried my luggage was super sweet and helpful. But, then the bed had a much thinner blanket and I was cold. I asked for an extra blanket but by then it was midnight and they said the maintenance guy was gone for the night (seems that he is angel of the hotel but needs to go home to rest at some point too.) Also, the heat was either full blast or nothing, which resulted in another lost night of sleep. they need to remodel the rooms and get quieter ice machines. If you want to save money and don't mind the hassle of playing musical rooms it might be worth it.
“Run down, terrible breakfast, Bad Mattress and old linen.”
The front desk people were swearing at guest checking in. "Shady" people hanging out in the parking lots. Homeless living in an abanded SUV parked in the parking lot next to the pool. Needless to say we didn't use the pool. Expedia should seriously take them off your service.
