Very basic hotel ok for 1 or 2 night stay

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Close to trax.
Cons: Rooms need to be updated, check air conditioner as ceiling was dripping water every time the air conditioner was turned on. Outside area need updating
Location: Trax nearby, close to Mcdonalds and Dennys.
Very basic hotel - close to trax and free breakfast included. The ceiling was dripping water and air conditioner was very noisy. Carpets and general surroundings were worn out but the lobby was kept clean with coffee/tea available.

Not a good hotel but in a great location

Pros: Good location: close to park concerts & farmers market. 10-minute drive to U of U & across the street from awesome an movie theatre. Comfy mattresses.
Cons: More maintenance of rooms (replace broken floor boards and patio furniture, fix leaks, etc.) Plus, add mini fridge/microwaves to rooms.
Location: Close to park concerts & farmers market. 10-minute drive to U of U & across the street from great movie theatre, gas station, nails salon, etc.
Staying in SLC can be expensive, especially if you want to be downtown and close to everything. This hotel costs much less than the surrounding hotels, and I was pleased that there were pet-friendly rooms and a pool. However, I was disappointed that there was no fridge or microwave (which wouldn't have been a big deal if I were only staying one night, but I had an extended stay), and the room/grounds were a bit gross. The bathtub faucet had a heavy drip (light stream) even when shut off; the patio, lamps, and counter-tops were unclean, and things just seemed to be a bit icky. Since I couldn't afford to stay at the neighboring hotels, I kept my long reservation at this hotel, but I wouldn't recommend it to other people. Oh, and breakfast was ok. I ate cereal and toasted bagels since there wasn't anything with protein (no eggs, bacon/sausage, etc.) Still, it was satisfying and included in the price of the hotel, which is always appreciated.

Pros: NOTHING
Cons: Demolition
Location: Lamb's Restaurant downtown is super.
I have stayed in Third World hotels that we cleaner and things worked better. The only reason I didn't walk out was because the city was booked. NEVER AGAIN!

One nights good enough.

Posted Aug 11, 2014
For one night we were thankful for the semi comfortable bed. The carpet was ripped on the floor the pool is pretty dirty, there is no hot tub as advertised. The police were called twice while there for something. Spiders in the room, but the complimentary breakfast was fairly good. One night was doable, several would not be acceptable. One night is good enough!

Only hotel available for McCartney concert.

Needs much tlc. Rooms were just minimally ok. Matresses very old and losing fill. Outside walkways need to be swept and cleaned. Staff were pleasant. Breakfast was better than expected. It must have been a fine hotel in it's day. Little America was built about same time and in much better shape. Hoe they give it some major tlc.

The receptionist is busy with phones (and other stuffs) and I need to wait until I get a chance to interrupt her finally. I feel like I am not welcome to this hotel.
