Pool was fine. Room and building needed upkeep.

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Staff & pool.
Cons: Needs mostly minor maintenance, e.g., bathroom fixtures, exterior stairs.
Location: Mostly other hotels nearby. Downtown SLC is walkable and LRT stop is nearby.
Was fine. TV had few channels. Staff were helpful and friendly. I liked the pool. Plenty of towels and it was well kept.

The AC didn't work in the first room, the staff gave us a new room the AC didn't work in that one either then the third room AC didn't work so we just gave up cause it was midnight and we were tired. Never again!

Needs some TLC

Posted Jun 29, 2015
The room left a great deal to be desired. The rooms appear to not have been updated for 20 years and need a super good cleaning. The staff was very accommodating and the swimming pool is very nice.

Hotel rooms all labeled as non-smoking. Open room immediately bowled over by stale stagnant smoke smell.

Mixed feelings

Posted Jun 27, 2015
Pros: Close to interstate. Room fairly clean.
Cons: .Better lit parking lot. More nutritious offerings for breakfast. Repair security door. Re-carpet and paint hallways.
The room itself was pretty clean, but getting made me uneasy. Hallway was filthy, security door to outside was duck taped so that it would not lock. Parking lot was not well lit. I feel it was overpriced for what was offered.

this was part of a package

Posted Jun 26, 2015
Pros: it's close to downtown
this hotel was added to a vacation package that flew from from evv to las then las to slc then back home to evv expedia added a one night stay at this place , I thought ok having spent the previous five days in vegas this place would be a chance to do my laundry before spending the last two days of vacation at my girlfriends daughters place in Sandy, Utah. well the laundry did not get done, there is no laundry here. I did not want to visit her family and have to do laundry, oh well lets make the most of things, so we drop all our luggage in the room and go back to the lobby and start looking through the pamphlets for something close to do. While sitting at a table in the lobby, the desk clerk says [ hey are you two quest here ? ] in some tone like we are homeless people that just came in to sit - what a warm welcome that was !!! I will say this for the place, it's not a very long walk to downtown salt lake and all the pubs and nightlife. next morning I awake to a beam of light coming through the door, I had not noticed the late afternoon and night before that the pep hole eye piece was gone, no kidding you could run your finger all the way through the door. So anyway I showed at my girlfriends daughters place in my cleanest dirty shirt with five days of laundry in a bag, pretty classy huh !!!!

Pros: Clean room, helping staff
We reached the hotel at around 2 AM after a 5 day long trip to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. The satff was very helping and check-in was smooth. The room was clean, spacious and well equipped bathroom. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
