Fantastic hotel in the mountains!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Peace & Quiet.
Cons: Check in after 8pm was scary. Renting a car is a must. The directions on Expedia were not very clear. The address needs to be corrected.
After staying here you would be a fool to stay in downtown Salt Lake. This place is 35 minutes from the city and half the cost for this time of year. Just make sure you rent a car and you are good to go!!!

Quiet and SecludedPosted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: Very quiet!
Location: Great central location for hiking and wildlife viewing.
Absolutely wonderful stay at this condo located in Solitude, Utah. We were a bit off-season so it was very quiet, which was what we wanted. Close to great hiking and scenic views. Nearby restaurants (Honeycomb Grill and Silver Fork Lodge) were awesome. Overall a wonderful experience.

Solitude says it allPosted Feb 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is our 3rd stay at Solitude & have stayed in the condos & townhouses. We love this mountain & resort. If you expect a lot of hoopla & action this is not the place. The focus is on the powder & outdoor activities. Great for kids, quiet, lovely. Excellent ski school, love the yurt & snow shoeing trails. There is never a line for lifts. Spa is great. Honeycomb grill has outstanding food & drink. Don't expect après ski, etc. We made half our meals in the condo which is also great for kids. Really nice families- kids made friends in ski school & at the pool/club. We'll be back!

Staying at the PowderHorn Lodge at SolitudePosted Feb 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
Super stay! Wow what a convenient place at a great Utah ski resort! The room was spacious, warm, EZ hill access and the place came with an outdoor hot tub to boot! We were thrilled to death and would gladly stay there again.

Nice condos very close to skiing.Posted Jan 5, 2014
Pros: The entire resort staff is so friendly and helpful from the condos to the stores and equipment rentals.
Cons: More swimsuits available to those who didn't pack them!
Location: The clubhouse had family centered activities every night. There were plenty of winter activites bsides skiing or snowboarding available too. There is
I took my 10 year old grandson on a ski trip and this place was great. The unit itselfwas a one bedroom but had a curtained off area with a full bed and bunk with a tv. My gradson loved it and dubbed it his cave.

first visit to UtahPosted Sep 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
Absolutely enjoyable stay. We were there during the summer so the resort was quiet. Just the way we like it. The grounds are beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The condos are large and comfortable. We liked the full kitchen. The beds were very comfortable. The trails into the woods from the resort were amazing. We saw multiple deer and a couple of moose on our walk. We will definately be back!

Perfect spot out of the cityPosted Aug 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
Despite the 45 mins drive to Salt Lake City Convention Center, the stay turn out pretty good. Scenery and peace come together in the mountain. Perfect for those who likes cycling or a nice place to rest. The room with Kitchen makes it perfect compare to downtown hotels.

My Salt Lake Home away from homePosted Jul 26, 2013
Pros: location, décor, staff, pools, on-site facilities
Cons: the hours of on site restaurants, pools, front desk. It WAS off season, so I guess its to be expected
We came to town for a wedding, during perhaps the hottest weekend of the year. Solitude, on top of the mountain, was a perfect 25-30 degrees cooler than down in the valley. Beautiful cabin like feel, without the cheesiness. Great off season rate, free parking, amazing pool. We did stay in a condo and it would have been nice to have more frequent room service (only stays over 4 days get room service). The pool was only open until 10, and it would have been nice to have adult hours late night, but I do understand the liability issues with doing that. Saw 4 moose (off in the distance) and ate at a cute-sie little spot only a mile down the road (silver fork lodge I believe?) Will come here again! (and again and again)...
