Nice hotel for non-techs

Posted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: Spaciousness and amenities.
Cons: Facilities
Location: Easy walking and or transportation to local hot spots.
The hotel was beautiful, decorated in an opulent fashion, and with upscale amenities. Our room was spacious, clean, and had a wonderful view. However, there were some facilities issues. For instance, the desk phone keypad did not work, so we had to contact the hotel operator to make an outgoing call. The room safe did not work either. The hotel network was public. Since our work environments require us to access from a secure network, we had to use our own secure mobile wi-fi to connect to work.

Elegant Convenient Hotel

Stayed at the Grand America while visiting Salt Lake City to see the Santa Fe Desert Chorale perform. The hotel is tastefully elegant with spacious rooms. Easy access to the Trax train which goes where you want to go including the airport.

Excellent family experience

Traveled with my wife and two children to Utah. Skiing, tubing, snowmobiling...barely compared to their appreciation of the grandeur of this hotel. Huge elegant rooms, beautiful grounds, and great indoor pool/spa. A great way to transition from travel to snow fun in SLC.

Amazing first impression

Posted Feb 21, 2015
Pros: The magnificent hotel lobby, amenities and extremely efficient concierge.
Cons: As, I am a designer the decor in the rooms is a "little" dated. Needs to be updated just a bit. ;)
A beautiful hotel with luxe appointments in the heart of the city. Close proximity to everything Salt Lake has to offer. We didn't want to leave! Will definitely visit again.

Classic style hotel

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: Worked well for a stay with the family. Close enough to downtown area.
Cons: Housekeeping service -- they never came one day and the next day came for turn-down service at 9:15pm at night.
The hotel has all the right amenities - pool, spa, afternoon tea, full concierge.
