Basic But CleanPosted Jul 8, 2015
Pros: Location, cleanliness of the room
Cons: Cleaner common areas (elevator, etc)
Location: Plenty of services, shopping, mountains, parks. I spent my time at the convention center.
I has a comfortable 3 day stay during a convention. I did not take advantage of the breakfast. The staff member who checked me in was very nice and professional. He mentioned that a manager had quit and left them short handed. Still, my stay was good. The room was clean and all blankets & linens were in great shape and comfortable. The carpet was fine. The tv was a pretty old model, but still worked. I walked to the Sheraton for Starbucks coffee each day and I bought some local beer from the convenience store next-door. There are good restaurants and shops downtown. My shower was tiny--hard to bathe, really--but my colleague's shower was a regular tub/shower.

Place to Sleep & Put Your StuffPosted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: The beds were great. The location is walking distance to lots of great restaurants and bars.
Cons: Clean up around the common areas.
Location: Walking distance to trolley, shopping, eateries and bars.
The room was clean but small, the "grounds" were unkempt. (They should empty out the garbages every so often - they only fit so many empty pizza boxes.

Best value in downtown SLCPosted Jul 1, 2015
Pros: Love the art deco room furniture and the tempurpedic beds. Good in room coffee.
Cons: Perhaps a bit more variety at the breakfast, but it is free and the fresh fruit is appreciated.
Location: Grand America conference hotel, Temple Square,
This was my second time at the Metro and it appears they've put additional work into making the place even more comfortable than before. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. Good restaurants just across the street, free parking and pleasant staff.

Was just OKPosted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Clean room and good location
Cons: Repairs to the window, fan and upgrade the air conditioner to a quieter model.
Location: It is centrally located on the main drag which made travel to the hospital fast and easy.
The room was clean. The bed was too firm for my liking and the air conditioner was very noisy. The street below had traffic all night long and it was noisy and the window could not be closed because it was out of its track. The fan in the bathroom was rattling and not working properly so we couldn't use it.

Perfect locationPosted Jun 8, 2015
Close to the trax station that can take you anywhere. Easy to get to. Fantastic mattress. Incredibly friendly staff. Wish the pool was cleaner and really wish the hot tub worked. It doesn't even have water in it. The rooms don't have mini fridges or microwaves so no hope for leftovers.

Short stay in SLCPosted May 2, 2015 on Hotels
Very nice welcome when we checked in but an older place that could use updating. Poor breakfast, 1/4 of a muffin, not even a whole one. Sketchy neighborhood that we didn't feel comfortable walking in. Won't stay there again.
