Not allocated the booked and paid for suite. Inattentive almost absent staff. Major gecko infestation inside and outside rooms gives this dated property an unhygienic appearance.

Dear Guest We are sorry that you had an unsatisfactory stay. The building was completed 2 years ago in a Old French Provencale theme and many of our foreign guests have commented that they feel they are in the South of France. The old Provencale style of building is actually expensive as only natural materials are used and the stucco styled wall finishes are hygienic and breathe better then normal painted walls. The suite allocated to you was identical to the one you booked just warmer then the other due to the location of the sun. On the day of your booking I had come down with the flu and was not present and will find out from my staff why you were not properly attended too. Geckos are natural to the North coast, I did check the room and could not find a Gecko but I do know they come out at night to catch bugs by the lights. Kind regards Jacques

The fact that I could take my little dogs along is a massive PLUS. The staff are very friendly and pleasant even towards the animals. I highly recommend Petite Provence, to animal lovers, old, young and families. Parking is a little squeeze.

France meets South Africa
A tastefully decorated property with great attention to detail. The Coquelicot suite was a new spacious open plan room on the first floor, bi-folding doors opened onto a large balcony with tree top views towards the ocean. Cooked breakfast was good and the staff friendly and helpful. The garden and pool were well maintained and a pleasure to sit in. The beach was within walking distance as were some local restaurants. A lovely peaceful, clean b & b.

Old=fashioned B&B with a good breakfast
The room is quite outdated - the sink has two faucets, the floor seems old and there are no carpets, but the bed is comfortable and the TV has many channels. The breakfast was great and fulfilling, and the hosts were very helpful and welcoming.

The Jewel of the North Coast, Quiet and secluded
The B&B was tastefully decorated with a country decor, the grounds kept neatly groomed, the staff very accommodating and friendly, our room was clean and very romantic with a lush comfy bed. Great location. We felt very comfortable and like home,the breakfast was everything you could want. - we will surely be back!

lovely little b&b for a quiet getaway
My fiancée and I enjoyed two very relaxing nights here. Outlr cottage was very comfortable and thoughtfully appointed. Staff were all very accommodating and friendly.

I was allocated a smoking room and being a non smoker this was most unpleasant. Mad about the gardens and the ambiance, it was great. The staff were above average and very friendly and helpful. The bed in the room need replacement and there is some serious maintenance issues.

A taste of France
My husband and I were pleasantly surprised. The B&B was tastefully decorated with a country french decor, the grounds kept neatly groomed, the staff very accommodating and friendly, our room was clean and very romantic with a lush comfy bed. The only thing I wish the room had was a stand-up shower. The bathroom had a long, narrow, deep bath and only a hand held shower head. Other than that I wouldn't change a thing! The swimming pool was on the smaller side but perfect for cooling off from the hot heat. It's also perfectly located only about 300m from the beach! The breakfast was very enjoyable as well. My husband and I definitely would recommend this B&B to anyone who is looking for a beautifully stylish and comfortable stay! BTW for any American Sports fans they have ESPN! My husband was thrilled! :-)

It was wonderful; it's pity that it's a bed and breakfast because if we could have a romantic diner in that atmosphere, it would have been great ! The decoration of the hotel and bedrooms are wonderful and let us think we are close to Provence ...

Das Haus an sich ist ganz schön. Das Frühstück war super und die Damen beim Empfang und beim Service waren sehr nett. Zimmer 5 ist nicht zu empfehlen, es ist sehr dunkel, feucht und liegt unmittelbar beim frühstücksbereich. Die Feuchtigkeit war sehr unangenehm, so dass die Kleidung danach roch. Alles in allem würde ich zukünftig einen anderen Ort aufsuchen, allerdings war uns an der Nähe zum Flughafen Durban gelegen. Der ist übtotal chillig,

sur la route de SHAKA
Charmant B&B plein de caractère: belles chambres, avec une attention particulière apportée aux détails. Superbe propriété, très bien entretenue. Personnel professionnel et aux petits soins: soucieux d'aider et de servir chaque hôte au mieux. Petit-déjeuner délicieux: continental et "full English breakfast" disponibles. Wi-fi gratuit, ainsi que les adaptateurs. Attention cependant! Ce B&B ne convient pas aux gens SANS voiture car: - il se trouve a plus de 20 minutes de Durban centre ( au nord, dans une station balnéaire appelée Salt Rock) - les transports en commun ne sont pas du tout développés et le taxi revient cher - pas grand chose aux alentours (activités) et il faudra marcher 10 bonnes minutes avant de pouvoir se restaurer En résumé, si vous avez une voiture, allez-y les yeux fermés, vous ne serez pas déçus. Si vous n'avez pas de voiture et que votre but est de visiter la ville de DURBAN, passez votre chemin, et trouvez-vous un hôtel vers le centre
