Overall I would say this is the BEST hotel in Saltillo even though there is a Hampton Inn and a Double Tree near by. The hotel is small, yet it feels very safe. I was never concerned for my safety. There are double glass doors which require card key to access the rooms. Also there is plenty of security around the entire building. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, yet sometimes I felt I was still back in the old Mexico, where things are slow and at its leisurely time. Internet worked really well in the rooms, however was slow at the bar or the restaurant. The gym was well equipped with a couple of treadmills an elliptical, stair master machine and weights as well as clean towels and water. I did not use the pool but it looked pretty nice. The room was ample, comfortable, and very nicely decorated. Short of having a small issue with the bathroom sink dripping, or my bed not turned over one night, the rest of the stay was flawless. Overall I would rate this hotel as one of the best ones I've stayed for long time

An Oasis in the DesertPosted Apr 9, 2008
Quinta Real is a well-run enterprise. From the always congenial and welcoming reception staff to the bellmen and car valets, this is a class act. Although not in the most attractive neighborhood and a little difficult to find, the grounds are beautifully manicured, the pool is scrupulously clean, the magnificent decor and the restaurant, especially the freah fruit and breakfast, make this a refreshing stop. We stayed there both going to and coming from other destinations in Mexico.

This is a very nice hotel. Staff is friendly and attentive (and speak excellent English), rooms are nice and well stocked. Nice restaurant, entertainment in the cocktail lounge, and breakfast buffet was plentiful. I would stay here again... good value
