“SALVADOR TRIP”
Pros:The hotel is close to everything, the staff is friendly, and I would definitely stay there again. Cons:The hotel is a little aged, and they charge for the internet use there.
“well over rated”
Quite frankly this hotel deserves max 2.5 stars unlike they are stating it here
“Great Hotel in bad location”
This hotel offers tremendous value and is realistically a 4 Star hotel. The location is spectacular with panoramic ocean views and ocean surf crashing below, but it's unsafe to walk anywhere near the hotel even during the day. On arrival, the hotel porter immediately told us not to go on the beaches near the hotel as they were unsafe. Having said that, the Historical Old part of town is just a short taxi drive, so if you want a superior hotel on a budget, and you are happy to commute to the tourist area then this is a deal.
“You get what you pay for”
This is not a 5 star hotel by any stretch of imagination. What it is is a 1 star hotel with a 5 star view (assuming you get the right room). In truth however, one could never expect a 5 star hotel at these prices anywhere in the world. Most people find the breakfast buffet to be quite impressive in Brasilian hotels, and though The Othon next door is far better with rooms in the same price range, this is still quite nice. What I find unfortunate in all the major hotels is their reluctance to showcase true local cuisine. As a foreigner I wish they would include the sausages and farofa along with other local foods as they do in the small pousadas. Unfortunately, to Brasilians, this is considered a "lower class" food and would never be offered in a large hotel. A real loss for the promotion of Brasilian culture, but I suspect the majority of their guests are Brasilians themselves, and that's who they must cater to.
“Less than expected. Frustrating.”
Not too good location, no restaurants or bars at a walking distance. Very poorly maintained hotel. Poor and expensive restaurant. Swimming pool area is terribly small to the number of guests, so there is never any room or stretchers or tables available.
“very good..friendly..and not expensive”
We stayed 3 days in this hotel. staff was very helpful and friendly. concierge directed us to all the areas we wanted to see. overall experience was quite pleasant. i would recommend this hotel to anyone that travels to this area.
“Good for business and for leisure”
Well located, not very far from the main airport. Quite brand-new hotel, very comfortable, staff well trained. The breakfast is rich in diversity of fruits, breads, cereals and others. The only true problem I faced was the room Wi-Fi Internet speed, which is too much low. I hardly could retrieve my e-mails.
“Salvador”
good quality hotel. Excellent breakfast included with room. Staff did not speak english at all. This is mainly a hotel for Brazilians. 5 to 10 minute cab ride to historic center where a lot of bars and restaurants are. hotel right on beach (beach is very small) and I had an awesome view of ocean. no conditioner or body lotion provided like most hotels of this level
“Among the better ones”
This five star hotel is among the better ones among equals in Salvador, however, not a five star according to European standard
“Good hotel. Excelent price”
At night, the restaurant at the hotel is not very good, but breakfast is quite good. So, if you don't mind dining out, I would certainly recommend it.
