Quiet city location.Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: Location, parking and food.
Cons: More varied menu perhaps for evening meals. English newspapers could be made available.
Location: Walking distance of main city and old city along with a 10 minute walk to main rail station.
Good quiet location in city and walking distance of old town etc.

Best Western Park Hotel, Salzburg, AustriaPosted Jun 15, 2011 on Hotels.com
This hotel provides a good value for the price of the room. It has no apparent negatives (overlooking the small shower stall typical of European hotels), although it can be difficult to locate for the first-time visitor because it is set back from Elizabethstrasse, where its sign is. It is about a ten-minute walk with luggage from the Salzburg Hauptbahnhof. I would stay at this hotel again on another trip to Salzburg.

Best Western Parkhotel SalzburgPosted Jun 2, 2011 on Hotels.com
A full facility with a restaurant, gym and sauna. The hotel is very comfortable for any sorts of stays. The rooms are fully equipped, of a good size and has garden views. About a 5-10 min walk from Salzburg main station, away from the new city centre. The hotel is located one street away from a casino, cinema, laundrymat amongst many eateries and convenience stores. It is about a 15-20 min walk along the river to get to the city centre, or there are buses available. The always genuinely friendly reception desk are very helpful from finding a place to eat to finding the nearest laundry point. There was free wired internet but no wifi in the rooms, but free wifi is available in the lobby.

Cozy and close to the train stationPosted Oct 3, 2010 on Hotels.com
The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the Salzburg HBF (at least 20 minutes to main area of interest) and is located in a quiet area. Room was clean and although there was no air conditioning, the room was comfortable. Bathroom was small and the toilet was seperate from the rest of the bathroom and it was a style I had not seen before (very odd). The room did come with a nice little balcony, the wifi was good, there was a safe in the room but no mini fridge. The bed was a little soft for my liking (but relatively ok) and the queen bed had 2 single douvets instead of one - perhaps an Austrian thing. Also the check in and check out was rather quick but we did have to wait until 3 pm to check in (we arrived at 1:30 pm). Overall, I have never heard of a 4 star hotel with no air conditioning, no mini fridge with a small bathroom, but I did enjoy the stay - think of it as a good 3 star. So my rating is based on the hotels 4 star rating (I would have given it a higher rating as a 3 star). But don't let that discourage you from staying here unless you plan to go in the warmest months (and require air conditioning) as I would stay here again if the price was right.

Reception is very helpful but Hotel is too farPosted Aug 26, 2010 on Hotels.com
Very helpful at check in and on advice. Hotel is in walking distance to main train station but you have to take a bus to go to old town where all the attractions are every time, also the street it is located has nothing fun. But hotel itself is clean, rooms are small though I would rather stay somewhere near old town.

The hotel is unnecessarily expensive. There is no food available in the Hotel restaurant after 9pm - despite being a 4 star hotel. The provisions in the room/ bathroom were not restocked on a daily basis. The room was very tiny.
