Staff was outstanding, location can't be beat, rooms were spacious and extremely clean, and the price is a real bargain.

The hotel was well located - very central and has many buses that stop right across the street. The hotel is located across from the Mirabella Palace/Gardens so most buses stop right there. Probably a 10 min walk to the Old Town and about 15 minutes to the central train station so great if you are planning to take the train to other cities like Munich or Vienna. Service was excellent - everyone was super friendly. Loved the lounge area where they had free coffee, tea, water and juice for guests' enjoyment. The breakfast buffett was excellent; lots of choices and tasted good. The rooms are pretty basic but very clean and good size.

This hotel is a short walk to the wonderful city center of Salzburg. The front desk was very helpful in setting up tours and answering our many questions. Rooms were very nice and updated. Breakfast was wonderful. Very nice selection of items to choose from. We most certainly would stay here again.

I liked the Austrotel. If you're going to be walking from the train station, it's a little bit of a walk, but nothing terrible. People at the front desk were nice. Call the front desk for free wi-fi. The hotel is well within walking distance of all the sites in Salzburg. Overall, I'd recommend staying here.

This was a great hotel in Salzburg. Location was perfect - all the main sights within walking distance. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend to friends.

The Ausstrotel was a delight and couldn't have been more conveniently located --across the street from the bus stop! The room was comfortable and quaint while the bathroom was bright and roomy. A computer was available in the lobby for guest use which was much appreciated.
