“Charming hotel in the old city”

This is a charming hotel in the pedestrian area of the old city. I stayed here just one night, but wished I could have stayed longer. The room was small but comfortable. I had a "twin" bed, which is narrower than American sized twin beds, but the bed was comfortable. The walls were padded, which adds comfort (if you're sitting up in bed) and insulation from noise in other rooms.

I chose the standard room. It was a spacious room with a functional small bath room. The mattress was good, the pillow was great. (other hotels in Austria had a very thin pillow) They supplied slippers and extra pillows which I didn't expect. The location was wonderful. Great value for money.

It was an amazing experience, the entire staff was super helpful and the breakfast in the morning was great... the best coffee I had during my entire stay in Austria!

“Wonderful Salzburg”

You could not ask for a beter location in Slazburg. Walk to all of the local attractions. The hote was very nice and the staff very accomodating. Even had wash cloths in the bathroom, a rarity in Austria or Germany.

Hotel Elefant is an excellent place to stay in Salzburg. From the location, to the room comforts, the service, etc., you can't beat it. Iris, at the front desk could not have been more helpful. It is an excellent value. If I have the opportunity to visit Salzburg again, I know where I'll be staying.

Hotel Elefant is located in the heart of the pedestrian zone in Salzburg, with a very attentive and helpful staff. Nicely appointed room, with down comforter on bed, and a sparkling clean, thoroughly modern bathroom. Good restaurant in the hotel, and many other nice restaurants all within easy walking distance.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Our room was very comfortable as well as attractive and the hotel interior is also very good looking. Excellent location in the heart of the "Alt Stadt." The breakfast offered many choices in the European style plus some American choices. The staff was extremely helpful answering our questions and giving us good direction. I will recommend this hotel. Also enjoyed a lovely dinner in the hotel dining room our first night in Salzburg.

Hotel Elefant was excellent. The location is perfect and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. The room was very nice and had a great bathroom. We had dinner in the restaurant one night and the food was above average. The breakfast every morning was excellent as well.

“Perfect Location”

What a great location. Right in the heart of Salzburg! The breakfast buffet was fantastic. The front desk staff was so informative. They really helped us book our tours and find out of the way interesting places to visit. I would stay there again. You have to remember that this building is very old but it is kept spotless! Our only problem was the airconditioner had a hard time keeping up, but the weather is usually cool at night anyway so it wasen't that big of a deal.
