“Outstanding experience”

Among our many hotel stays over the past six months, Hotel and Villa Auersperg was extremely nice. We picked this one after the many positive reviews. We agree with the other comments about the staff and breakfast--both were outstanding. We especially like the Nespresso machine in the room and also did not know this was an additional charge. However, it was not very surprising. Even 1.50 is less than you pay for a coffee anywhere else and this is Nespresso. We also went to the local Nespresso store and bought our own capsules since we have a machine at home. Not surprisingly this hotel does not have AC but this is very typical for the region. We would prefer AC but the experience here was outstanding. We will definitely stay there on our next trip to Salzburg.

“wonderful hotel outside salzburg altstadt”

Really nice stay in hotel, very clean, staff incredibly helpful and professional, breakfast was excellent. Steam room and sauna with open top terrace as well as a lovely garden. Created a lovely ambience in evening with candles in the gardens, in the hotels and nice bar/eating area thats open until 1am. Hotel is not in altstadt but 10 minute walk but very glad to have been located where we were. However, practically next door to Die Weisse "the best brewery and beergarden in town", and a few other restaurants nearby. train station is about 10 minute walk as is mirabel gardens. One of the nicest stays i have had. Only thing is no air conditioning in room but i dont like air con and rather have fans which they provided, and the windows open.

This hotel is a real gem! We've travelled in different european cities before, and this hotel was our favorite....we reserved for a superior room and got a room on the second floor with a garden view. At the end of each day's sightseeing, we found that we could really relax & unwind in our spacious, cozy room. It had a separate daybed area that was comfy.

“A hotel to enjoy and savor!”

The Auersberg is a fine hotel with excellent service. The staff is friendly and helpful and ready to assist at every turn. The rooms and public places are quite attractive and clean. There is a lovely garden at the back of the hotel for breakfast, snacks and evening drinks.The hotel is in a quiet area a short walk from downtown.

“Hotel Auersperg is a great base from which to explore Salzburg”

Hotel Auersperg was splendid. Only 3 stories tall, on the north (right) side of the river in the "new" part of the city, we stayed 4 nights and were very happy there. It was very quiet, the room comfortable, the bed comfy. The breakfast at the hotel was great, and the dining room quaint and bright. The rooftop sauna/steambath was perfect. The staff was unfailingly polite and went out of their way to help us. We were within easy walking distance of everything in old Salzburg, and then able to leave that behind at the end of the day. The hotel was very charming. We had a small balcony with a lovely view of the mountains. It snowed while we were there, so the view was fantastic! The breakfast buffet was the best we had during our week in Europe. The front desk was very helpful, we asked for a dinner suggestion and they made reservations for us on the spot on a busy Friday night. They stored our luggage for us while we were out enjoying the city and then called a cab for us to get us back to the train station. We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night stay at this hotel.

“Nice Hotel in Europe to Stay”

We got the room in the villa side of the hotel, which, I believe are a little bit bigger and it's got a balcony facing the main street. Room was clean, breakfast buffet was WONDERFUL...very good selection for this 3 star hotel. Location is easy to get to main tourist attractions, free internet, good service, I recommend this hotel.
