Delicious breakfasts and lovely hotel.Posted Oct 24, 2013
Pros: It was very quite, the food was delicious and my room was beautiful.
Cons: The reception when you arrive needs to be friendlier and more helpful. Assistance with my bags would have been good too...
Everything was great - it was very quite, the food was delicious and my room was beautiful. However, I had no assistance with my bags and the greeting when I arrived at the reception was frosty. This wasn't a good start however the other staff made up for it during my stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed this hotelPosted Oct 19, 2013
Close to center of city and the attractions we were interested in. They accomodated us by arranging tours which made it very easy to see what we were interested in. Personnel were very thoughtful and courteous. A great stay!!!

Clean, comfortable, upscalePosted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: They had movies on dvd's that we could borrow, which was a nice touch. They also had music cd's in the room and travel books we could borrow. Terrific
Cons: The location was further out of the center of town than ideal. It was about halfway between the old town and the train station, kind of a long walk.
Location: It's about 3/4 mile or a mile to the old town where most of the sights are in Salzburg.
We stayed at this hotel in September, 2013. From the outside, it looks bland but well kept. After entering, however, we were very impressed. The decorating is comfortably chic and the staff is warm but very professional in their manner. I had originally reserved a room for 2 nights, then later our plans changed and we would need to book the room for one additional night. Unfortunately, they were unable to be able to give us the same room for the entire 3 nights, so we had a superior room the first night and a regular double room the next two nights. The superior room was a bit larger, and it was on the 3rd floor versus the double room being on the 2nd floor. The sitting area was slightly larger in the superior room, and the room looked out over the hotel's back garden, whereas the regular room was on the street side of the hotel, so it was not as quiet as the superior room. The superior room was nicer, but for us the difference was minimal and we were very happy with both rooms. By European standards, they were both large rooms, and comfortably appointed. The rooms were very clean, and the bathrooms were modern and exceptionally clean. The breakfast buffet was lavish! There was a choice of juices, coffees, and teas. There was a nice spread of fresh breads and jams, as well as mueseli, eggs, meats, cheeses, and fresh fruits and yogurts. Some of the yogurt was certified organic, and it was delicious. Whole fresh fruit was available all day.

Not too far from the old city, but...Posted Oct 6, 2013
The hotel needs to be updated significantly. Though our room was large it lacked character and style. Bathroom large but water kept changing temperature. Breakfast was good, but not great. Coffee was terrible.

Welcoming local HotelPosted Sep 25, 2013
Pros: Quaint. Personal. Great holiday feel. Lovely walk to shopping . Shutters over windows to block out light.
Cons: Sofa beds creaky for the kids but mattress was fine . A pillow menu would be great Creaky floorboards but doors to main hallways softclosing
A 20 minute walk from hotel over the bridge into Salzburg Square. Lovely shops, eateries and cobblestone walkway along the way. Laundrymat two blocks away. 10 euros for a very large wash and dry. Safe and secure. Breakfast fresh organic produce. Had two rooms booked as 5 traveling . They upgraded one of the rooms for us. Staff friendly. Parking easy right beside hotel.

The room was beautiful and comfortable. A lovely small European Boutique hotel. Location was a little far from the Old Town.

Lovely hotel that isn't resting on its laurelsPosted Sep 11, 2013
Pros: Staff - especially the barman!
Hotel rooms are clean, roomy, well equipped etc. Lovely rooftop terrace and saunas. Lots of features to help you enjoy your time in Salzburg - Staff will book events, tours etc, daily recommendation on where to go/what to eat, Wi-Fi that really works, Cycles to use when you want them, library of DVDs, etc. Breakfast had masses of options and hotel-cooked snacks were delicious. Very pleased with the whole experience.
