good location but very average hotel..Posted Dec 8, 2013
Pros: not alot other than its location to the station and the city centre
Cons: staff need to take some pride in the hotel they are working for. complaints should be addressed in a timely manner
had two rooms - one room had no heating and a small temporary heating along with a strong smell from the fridge when we complained about the heater the small heater was removed from the room three days where temperature was 2 degrees where we where without heating. the second room had a faulty shower but when reported to staff nothing was done staff didn't seem to care about any issue raised.

GOOD PLACE TO STAY ON A SHORT BREAKPosted Nov 30, 2013
Pros: The best things were the comfortable bed and the breakfast which we enjoyed a lot.
Cons: Everything was fine.
We stayed four nights at the Lasserhof Hotel and found it conveniently situated not far from the town centre, the railway and bus stations. The bedroom was clean and comfortable and the bath room had been newly refurbished. We slept extremely well and the breakfast offered a wide choice of food and juices. The staff were friendly and helpful and I would recommend the Lasserhof Hotel unreservedly. We would certainly stay there again.

Good value hotelPosted Nov 11, 2013
Good hotel that I thought was value for money. Not slap bang in the centre of town, but only a 10-15 minute walk away - close to the train station too. Nice buffet breakfast included. Room furnishings and equipment were fine. My only quibble was that the (free) wifi occasionally faded out, though not often enough to inconvenience me. This was maybe due to being on the top floor.

Good plain hotel with really excellent staffPosted Oct 2, 2013
Location: We had a packed programme for our five days with about six sights to see every day, and we easily walked to everything from the hotel.
The hotel was well placed for us to be able to walk to the town; the breakfast was excellent with a wide range of foods to suit every taste and the rooms were clean, well serviced and just the job. This is the perfect hotel if you want to use it as a base to see the town but not really for somewhere to indulge in the facilities. It suited my party of five very well and the staff on reception were very helpful indeed and couldn't do enough for us - I can't rate them highly enough - what you would call REAL service. I shall be staying here again.

Great hotel in new town of SalzburgPosted Sep 25, 2013
Location: Close to the train station, University of Portland Center, Mirabell Gardens and other sites in new town.
Fairly good location in the new town of Salzburg. The room was good sized and the bed was comfortable. There was no street noise. The breakfast was included and was very good with a great variety of foods. We would stay here again if we planned on spending time in the new town.

Close to rail station, not far from downtownPosted Sep 24, 2013
Pros: The convenient position at about 5-6 walking time from the railway station is a great advantage for this hotel.
Cons: The hotel needs probably better orientation signs for those who try to find it first time.
Location: I takes about 20 minute walking to the central Mozart Plaza. Nice walk through Mirabell Gardens and across the river.
Clean and comfortable, room was cozy, breakfast was good.

Close to stationPosted Sep 22, 2013
Pros: Price and proximity to station and Old Town.
Cons: Repairs need to be done and cleaning improved. Should advise if beds requested are unavailable.
Location: Salzburg is delightful, but undesirables near station. Old Town has many beautiful shops and buildings and a nearby castle to visit.
Booked months ago asking for twin beds and were given a double bed. Told that we couldn't change rooms. No plug in basin, broken exit light, mould in shower. Breakfast OK . Hotel information said we could make our own tea and coffee in lobby for minimal charge, but could not. Was close to station and the Old Town.

Nice locationPosted Sep 19, 2013
Pros: Location and value
Cons: For the money nothing really
Location: All main sights in Salzburg are within walking distance. Mirabell Gardens is close as is the Cathedrals and main square.
Good value for the location in Salzburg, close to Mirabell and other sights. Hotel is maybe a bit outdated but a good value. It had a fan in the room which was much appreciated. Good breakfast also

Covenient locationPosted Sep 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
Overall satisfied with the room and service, however we were disappointed that in a non-smoking hotel we had stale cigarette smoke drifting into our room if we opened our windows (which we needed to as the room was not air-conditioned). When we complained to the service staff, we were told that our room (#28 on the second floor), which was a standard double room, sat above the courtyard where the staff were permitted to smoke, and the hotel representative could not ask staff to refrain from smoking there. We asked if we could change rooms, but were told this was not possible. Consequently, we were required to keep our windows closed and endure a stuffy room in preference to allowing cigarette smoke drift in and make breathing uncomfortable for us. We would therefore not stay at this hotel in the future.
