Very good location to all the local sites. The girls at the desk were very helpful particularly the young girl that took us to our room across the street. She went out of her way to answer all our questions and meet our needs. The rooms were a little small and there is no A/C for hot nights, but there were fans. The breakfast was good and they even gave a free drink at the bar for all people in the room, including non-alcoholic drinks for the young ones.

We had a room on the top floor and there was a balcony with a wonderful view on the mountains. Plenty of room. We were very surprised at how much we got for our money. The breakfast buffet is great and well worth the money. The only complaint is that was no shower curtain strangely.

“Our best 3*** hotel in Europe”

We were very pleased with the size, cleanliness, and overall comfort of the room. Separate toilet and shower rooms within the room. Best hotel we had during a 2-week tour of Germany & Austria. Breakfast was great. Hotel is only one long block from the Old City via the Neutor Tunnel, which seems safe and is busy with pedestrians until at least 11pm. If you don't want to walk the tunnel, the Hotel is also on 3 local streetcar lines. This is probably the easiest hotel in Salzburg to access by car, if you want to visit the Old City--don't have to drive through the pedestrian zones.

Great hotel and great location. The breakfast was the best I have seen in a while. The only downside was that there was no refrigerator in the room.

Clean, spacey, comfortable, very friendly service. They made me tea at 5am while I was waiting for my taxi to the airport (which they called and which arrived in only a few minutes). Great location, just 5min walk to the old town, 20min walk to the conference center (through the old town). Not a romantic hotel in the sense that the furnishings are simple (though very comfortable) and the immediate surroundings are modest. But the beautiful old town is just around the corner, and business people won't care anyway.

Had a great stay. Convenient location. Good breakfast. Very clean and comfortable.

“Smoke”

The smoking was horrific, that you couldn't go to the lounge or reception desk without gagging. NOr did you want to smell up your clothes with it. The hotel was typical European, which was fine. I loved the location next to the tunnelleading to the old city. I would warn folks about the smoke.

Hotel was located near the Old Town. Tourist were walking all over the area toward the river and the Old Town. Our room was clean but carpet can definitely be replaced. I would like to go back because of the location.
