This has been our third visit to Salzburg staying at the same hotel. A very welcoming hotel, with Salieri's Restaurant within the hotel, which serves excellent food too, and located within a ten minute walk from old town. No parking problems, with grounds surrounding the hotel.

Enjoyed our one night stay here despite bad weather. We didn't stay in the actual schloss but went there for very good breakfast. As a guest you are able to explore the schloss itself and it is stunning. Especially the library which you can use. You can walk into Salzburg in around 20 mins.

We stayed here for just one night to be near to the airport for 10am flight. The room was fine, much quieter than I had anticipated. We had a bath with shower over, the water was really hot and the room temperature was controllable. We had dinner here and struggled a bit with the menu as our German is terrible and the English translations were not great. However, we had a very helpful waiter dressed in lederhosen who explained the dishes, and our meal was excellent. We were first down for breakfast which starts at 7am. Great choice of food on the buffet, well presented and delicious, with cooked options also available. The lady on reception organised a taxi to the airport which arrived very promptly. All in all a trouble free and relaxing experience.

"Amazing, choose this hotel for a true Bavaria stay"
I did not want to leave! First you are welcomed by Maria's fantastic warm smile and hospitality, then you walk up to your room and it is perfect, with knotty pine furnishings with Bavarian accents, the beds super comfortable, the down comforters perfect to snuggle up with, the views and balconies from the room overlooking the mountains, breath-taking and priceless! She saved me money suggesting the Salzburg card, the bus stop is just seconds from the hotel which gives you a short peacfeul ride thru the country before the bustling town of Salzburg. Wifi was great, free breakfast complete and a menu for room service and mini-bar, perfect.

With rolling plains featured in the north, south of Salzburg is where you’ll find mountains. This area is mostly residential with the Salzach River on one side and the busy Alpine Road on the other. Landscaped gardens and green spaces are abundant, especially the green space surrounding Hellbrunn Palace, an early baroque villa famous for its water games that play tricks on guests.
