Terrible hotelPosted Nov 29, 2013
Pros: Absolutely nothing
Cons: The list is too long
Location: Location is good, about 45-50 minutes from the airport and it's in the heart of Apia near the fish market.
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. My partner and our friends all felt the same about this hotel. We were placed in the 'backpackers' part of the hotel and nowhere did it state on our booking reference that we would be in the backpackers part. The room was vile and there were bloodstains on our bed sheets. When we went to explain this to the night porters they did not seem to care, or even consider this to be an issue! Instead, they acted as if it was an inconvenience to get new sheets for the bed. In the end, however, we just had to change rooms. There was a shared bathroom and the only good thing about this was the hot shower. There was also a sign at the front desk which stated that all rooms received a complimentary tropical breakfast, although this was not the case for the 'backpackers part' , which we were not aware of. This is literally the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, much worse than any backpackers I have stayed in and the staff are horrendous. Do not stay in this hotel, it was the dirtiest place I have ever stayed with the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

The budget rooms are budgetPosted Nov 1, 2013
Pros: Good location, has its own restaurant.
Cons: Having coffee available would help!
When I checked in the person who served me was not very welcoming. She also seemed uncertain if I had a booking even though I had a copy of the email with me confirming that I had booked and had already paid for the room.

Good valuePosted Oct 12, 2013
For the price, I thought the budget rooms were great. Clean enough and really quite spacious. Fan worked. Access to shared bathrooms with hot shower, shared kitchen with a new fridge, microwave and kettle ( bit dodgy - the handle heated up too) and a good sized shared lounge. The swimming pool was also good. I didn't appreciate it until we moved to another place which had none of the above facilities and cost more. The location was really handy too - right near the markets, bus station and a short walk to the supermarket. It was great as a low budget option- no complaints at all. The restaurant food was expensive however and the restaurant was generally empty. We ate at the place next door. That would be my only criticism and I would suggest to them that they provide cheaper meal options. Otherwise, 10 out of 10 for low budget accommodation

Only take a cheap room if you're in transitPosted Sep 22, 2013
Cons: Pillows smelt damp and moldy.
We figured it wasn't going to be very nice due to the price and reviews. There is a fancy part of the hotel and the cheaper rooms out the back are more ghetto. We arrived at 2am from a flight and just used it as a place to sleep and shower. Did the job, but very far from glamorous.

Great value for money staff friendly and helpfulPosted Jul 28, 2013
Pros: Staff great, value for money fabulous
Cons: Essential to have working electrics ie jug, microwave and fans
Location: wonderful location handy to buses market and shops
We stayed in the budget area so not in the main hotel but we had access to the restaurant and swimming pool etc. The bedroom was adequate and clean with a very comfortable bed. The only frustration was that the fan could have been lower and we could have got more benefit from it especially at night when there was not a lot of air movement ! The shared shower and toilet were clean as were the kitchen and sitting area but the electric jug kept disappearing and the microwave didnt work and the fan in the sitting area was on the blink. Overall though the value for money was extrodinary and we very much enjopyed our stay.

Hostel accommodationPosted Jul 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
Quite surprised of the location of the hostel accommodation - hidden out back through some random doors - felt like i was in the servants quarters - view terrible.
