"Third time lucky..."
My husband and I have been to Samoa seven times; we always stay at two places each visit - somewhere we have already been and somewhere new. This is the third time we have stayed at SInalei, and we will keep going back. We love the no children policy and how consistent the facilities, staff and food are.

"If you go to Samoa , STAY HERE !!!"
Stayed at Le Vasa for 3 of our 7 days in Samoa, wished I'd booked here for the entire duration. Lovely spacious rooms right on the water. If you are a fisherman (like me), make sure you take a couple of fishing rods with you ! Awaken to the sound of big blue trevally smashing baitfish in the lagoon.

"Fale right by the water"
We stayed for 3 nights from 30/12/13 - 02/01/14. The resort staff were excellent. For our first 2 nights we were the only people staying at the resort and the staff definitely made it memorable going out of their way to ensure we are comfortable. The only set back was the village the resort is in trying to charge us 5Tala every time we leave and enter the resort - this is because the only road in and out of the resort is the village's. However, once the staff heard of this they gave us a pass to show to the village so that we do not get charged. The resort was still recovering from the cyclone that hit the year before whihc is why I gave it a 4 out of 5 rating, but you can see it is definitely a beautiful place. The water is lovely and there is a lot of snorkelling and kayaking opportunities. I would recommend this place a 100%.

"Fantastic place to stay"
We had a brilliant time here, it was exactly what we came to Samoa for. We stayed in a villa which was very comfortable and right on the beach, loved the outdoor shower. The weather was perfect the beach beautiful. Found the staff friendly and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

"Clean, friendly, exactly what we needed."
My partner and I were skeptical about this place due to the varied comments on here however, we had a great stay and enjoy it very much. We arrived on the last flight and our flight arrived 30 minutes early so we knew our pre-arranged driver may not be there, we double checked with some other pick-ups asking them if anyone from Le Uaina was there and they said no. So we walked to the curb and lit a cigarette and before we was half way through our driver came over. We arrived at the hotel and was taken straight to our room which was clean and a lot nicer than I expected. The next day we were greeted by friendly smiles and breakfast and a beautiful little hotel with a Beach. Now this place does have a beach, its not big but it is there, and it is big enough to lay on during low tide and the sand is soft. The water is clear with plenty of fish to see. The food we had was good, the cocktails were some of the best we have sampled and the staff were attentive and kind. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend this to family and friends. Yes some things could be worked on and improved but for what this hotel charges, its above and beyond what is expected.

"Nice view, nice pool"
Pool and view from the ocean view rooms was great. However, The rooms were pretty dated and tired - the stucco ceiling in our room had a huge patch missing from what i can only assume was a rough repair job. The bathroom was dark and dingy with no windows. The food in the restaurant was basic The staff were mostly helpful and the onsite car rental was good - this is not the place to just hang out at hotel - definitely just a base to explore Savaii from and to cool off in the pool at the end of the day.

"Luxury combined with traditional architecture"
Accommodation: our beach Fale was lovely, a little rustic, but all the mod cons, rock waterfall shower was nice, and a lovely raised patio outside the room looking out to the reef. Overwater bungalows are really luxrious and more private. Food and drink: Mika's restaurant food is good, enough variety for a week, and there are two other resort restaurants within walking distance. Meal deal is worthwhile if you intend eating here every day, otherwise pas as you go. Also note I didn't rate the house wine very highly, and other wine not included in meal deal. They really tried to accommodate my wife's gluten/dairy free requirement, but that really limits what you can eat on the menu, and they didn't always get it right. Beer and wine free in mini-bar is a nice touch Location: Beautiful landscaped gardens, small but nice pool area was never crowded, two nice beaches either side of resort, access to lagoon via sandy slopes direct from resort area. You really need a car to explore further afield (or hire driver from resort by the hour/half day). South coast drive east is a good day trip with waterfalls, pretty coastline and beaches and don't miss To-Sua. We weren't that impressed with Apia (about 45 mins drive) or north coast (lots of rubbish). Staff: Genuinely friendly, and high standard or service, very eager to please. All from the local village. They put on a great cultural day including Umu, good Fia-fia night and pleasent music around bar and restaurant in evenings
