Third time lucky...Posted Jul 19, 2014
Location: There is not a great deal to do at the resort itself, but that's why we love it... lots of time for reading and sleeping in.
My husband and I have been to Samoa seven times; we always stay at two places each visit - somewhere we have already been and somewhere new. This is the third time we have stayed at SInalei, and we will keep going back. We love the no children policy and how consistent the facilities, staff and food are.

Wonderful staffPosted Jun 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
I could not speak highly enough of the staff in the hotel, and particularly in the restaurant and front office. The friendly fun filled approach made our stay memorable and very enjoyable. The meals were first class with excellent freshly caught fish every day. The interaction between the band and the staff, including the boys and girls from the kitchen was great fun, they all made us feel very welcome.

Great hotel right on the beachPosted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: Location, friendly staff, ammenities, peace and silence.
Cons: My partner and me thought that for the money we paid we could have gotten a better complimentary breakfast. Portions were quite tiny and left us hungr
Location: To Sua ocean trench is by far the most AMAZING place i have seen in a long time. Looks like out of a fairy tale. Lalomanu beach is a must
Since we arrived. Sinalei friendly staff made us feel welcome at all times of the day! Smiles everywhere, helpful people, it was a joy to be around them, above all cause we had the misfortune of having 5 days of straight torrential rain.. To our suprise, we got a free upgrade from the Garden villa to the Ocean Front ones without even requesting it. We were soooo happy!

Expensive but worth every cent.Posted May 26, 2014
Cons: More tours could be offered. Some "ocean view" rooms lacked privacy due to main walkway out the front. Glad we didn't have that room.
Location: Exceptional location, central to all Upulo attractions.
This is by far the best place to stay. The rooms and facilities are the highest quality. Food is excellent. Staff are exceptionally friendly and like a good joke while still being professional and helpful. Pool, Beach and gardens are beautiful.

Uncomfortable experiencePosted Apr 19, 2014
The experience at this resort was well beyond what we had anticipated...in a negative way. It is completely overrated. Definitely would not recommend this place to any travellers.

A tropical paradisePosted Feb 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
We loved this resort. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and made every guest feel right at home and welcome, nothing was too difficult. We had booked a garden view room which unfortunately had a leaking problem on the tiled floor by the toilet. We reported this and within minutes we were upgraded to a one bedroomed ocean view villa! We were very impressed! We were lucky that they were not fully booked as it was February and the low season for them. The restaurants are both of high standard and we enjoyed some great seafood. Their water sports fale supplied kayaks and snorkeling gear to guests and offers snorkeling tours etc at a cost also. On our last night the staff and band made a huge fuss of us, as they do to all their departing guests, a nice touch. We will definitely love to return to Sinalei before too long.

The best ever holiday experiencePosted Jan 6, 2014
My wife and I have just finished a 15 day stay at Sinalei and could not rave more highly about the resort. Where to start?, the setting, grounds, buildings are all just stunning and maintained meticulously, the friendliness and efficiency of the staff was way above expectations and the food, especially the seafood was consistently better than we have ever experienced. A special note for the efforts of the management who on a number of occasions went way above the call of duty for us. We had an ocean view room which was spacious, clean, very comfortable and not 10 mts from the beach and again exceeded expectations. The resort is perfect if all you wish to do is relax by the pool and enjoy the spa experience however if you do wish to experience all Samoa has to offer, hiring a car to get around is a must, as the public transport is infrequent and impractical for the tourist. There is an abundance to do in Samoa but it is scattered throughout the two main islands.
