Probably one of the nicer hotels on the island. I had previously stayed at GH Sunrise and was extremely disappointed so Casablanca was a nice surprise. It's really close to a lot of restaurants on the water and directly across from the beach.

Clean, quiet hotel in a very convenient location

Posted May 25, 2014
Having been in San Andres for the second time (the first time in a different hotel), the Hotel Casablanca was a real pleasure. The hotel is located directly at the beach, no through traffic (pedestrians only), therefore nice and quiet. We had a room in the 4th floor, ocean view. During night time, we opened the large sliding window, enjoying the ocean's breeze, the quiet surrounding. During the daytime you need the A/C, which was working flawlessly. The hotel is relatively small (so is the pool), but all is very clean and pleasant. The food was always good, fresh, and of high quality. Our deal only included the breakfast, but we also had lunch and dinner there several times. Try the "Langosta a Curry" !!!! The staff was helpful at all times. We will be coming back for sure.... for us this was a 4.3 out of 5.0 !!!!

Great location in island

The hotel is quite good and is not too big, which is nice. The check-in was a bit slow, but everything else worked out smoothly and the people who work there are incredibly friendly and nice. The locations is perfect, right across from the beach, next to the pedestrian walkway, close to stores and restaurants in the main town. The room was clean and fine for what we wanted; ours had a small balcony, which was a plus. Overall, it was an good stay and would go back (in fact, have already been there more than once).

Awful experience...ruined our stay.

Posted Jan 27, 2014
Pros: Leaving
Cons: Furnishings, staff, almost everything.
Location: If you like a mall atmosphere surrounded by dilapidation and devoid of character, this is the place for you.
We stayed all over Colombia and this hotel was by far the worst experience we had. Check in was delayed until 4:30 leaving us to sit and wait until we could go to the beach. When our second guest arrived he had to wait ten minutes for paperwork to be printed even after the check in process was complete. If they anticipated the second guest which we apprised them of they should have had the paperwork ready. The room itself was spare and poorly furnished - and the water smelled funny coming out of the shower. There are two sides to this hotel - a relatively modern side and a not so modern side. We got the poorer side - some call these the villas. The light was a depressing fluorescence reserved for fourth world countries. The staff was unhelpful and downright rude. After confirming we could delay our check in, the staff reneged on the offer, constantly harassing us by phone and coming to our door while we packed as fast as we could. Staying here absolutely ruined the trip to San Andres for me altogether - I won't be coming back and would discourage my friends from doing the same.

Pros: Sea view, Size of the very comfortable room.
Location: Shopping, Scuba Diving, Dining, Good swimming beaches.
Clean, comfortable. We stayed in the seaview room, were on the second floor, some noise from the walkway. Ask for a room on a higher floor. Breakfast buffet had a good selection. We do not speak Spanish, had a bit of difficulty at the reception desk. Will stay here again on next trip to the Island.
