Great hotel to stay at! Location was awesome too!

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: The cleanliness of the room, the professionalism of the staff and the quiet room I stayed in-got some much needed rest! Thank you!
Cons: Nothing needs to be improved!
Location: This is located and not very far from downtown-Ms. Hattie's and the Eggemyers-also Ft. Concho is not too far away either-located near all!
I met my Mom in San Angelo for the weekend~we both had a great visit and will be coming back!

Don't stay here unless you are desperate

Posted May 17, 2014
Bathroom was dirty and very tiny, some of the appliances were broken. The mattresses are extremely hard, and as dirty as the bathroom was we were a little skeptical about sleeping there. I know there was alot of activity going on, on this particular weekend and almost all the hotels were sold out, but for $130 a night you would at least expect a clean room with working appliances. Needless to say we will not stay here again

Nice quality for the price

Posted May 5, 2014
When you checkout through Expedia, your link will tell you that the price includes tax, it does not! Expect to pay 13% more when the hotel charges your credit card. The manager, Scott, didn't seem like this was a big issue. Unfortunately for me the reservation was non-refundable. Once I arrived at the hotel the desk woman, Terry, was VERY rude. All of the other staff was pleasant during my stay. The rooms were nicely updated: new paint, mattresses, flooring, countertops. The air conditioner is ancient and was very loud. The street noise was horrible and there was garbage in the pool. The breakfast was not as great as I'd hoped, but it is free as is the wifi.

Decent hotel, good value

Posted Mar 27, 2014
Pros: Good value, satisfied all our needs. Cleanliness was outstanding.
Cons: Mentioned above.
Location: San Angelo has the Concho river flowing through it, and three lakes nearby. Where the Concho crosses the main highway, there is a gorgeous park.
We wanted to visit San Angelo to investigate it as a possible retirement home. We looked at several hotels online and decided to take a chance on this one. We were very pleased with our stay. Everything that was important for a hotel was good to excellent: safety, cleanliness, friendly staff. All of the plumbing and furnishings worked. I will agree that the hotel is a little shabby around the edges, and needs some TLC to fix things like chipped plaster and cracked concrete. I would have loved it if all the water features (fountains) had been working, but that may have been a water-saving measure. This part of Texas is in a SEVERE drought; the lake in San Angelo State park is completely dry! So, I think having the water features and the hot tub off is reasonable. I must comment on the amazing hot breakfast. Many hotels now have the waffle maker; some hotels have some freeze-dried eggs you can barely choke down. This hotel went beyond that; the free breakfast included delicious scrambled eggs with bacon, biscuits, gravy, and hash browns, as well as the waffle maker. For vegetarians there was fruit, cereals, waffles, and toast .
