Ideally situated charming B&BPosted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: Quiet (except the train), well centered, close to restaurants and bars
Cons: Communication between Expedia and the b&b: continental breakfast was included in the offer, however the b&b has not been informed
Location: close to the Alamo, restaurants and bars
We spent 2 nights in this charming B&B. You feel like home in this beautiful house, Our room ("Bordeaux") was large and nicely decorated with ancient furniture. Free and fast WiFi. The room has a lovely terrace and a large bathroom. Location: very central, close to Alamo and the river walk, as well as to restaurants and bars. A continental breakfast was included in the offer, however the b&b was not informed. After a phone call a breakfast was nicely brought to our room. The only drawback is the train, quite loud, you have sometimes the impression it passes just behind the house. In conclusion, we can warmly recommend this B&B!

A classy way to stay in San AntonioPosted Nov 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
A beautiful room and bath furnished exquisitely in the beautiful King William district just south of downtown San Antonio. A small porch area for a glass of wine or...Off-street parking. What more could you ask for? The staff were very friendly and offered much more service than we needed, but it's nice to know they are so accomodating. We'll be back.

very clean, well appointed, great location, friendly innkeeper. only drawback was smoking allowed on balcony porch which seeped into the room and woke me up. other than that, totally great experience.

Yellow Rose San Antonio-Beautiful Home & LocationPosted Nov 1, 2011 on Hotels.com
We stayed at A Yellow Rose for a week in October 2011 and wished we had more time there. We stayed in the Bordeaux room which was beautifully decorated with a very large four poster bed, lovely linen and a very big bathroom with separate bath and shower. Although we had not opted for breakfast there was a fridge in the room with coffee, milk, coffee maker and juice to help ourselves. The neighbourhood was so unbelievably peaceful though you were within very easing walking distance of downtown, with beautiful historic buildings on each surrounding street. The room had a very useful information folder showing local restaurants and facilities, and wi-fi access provided. Deb had provided phone numbers of local taxi firms and details of what was going on before we travelled so we felt like we could plan our trip and make the most of our time away. Cannot recommend A Yellow Rose highly enough, wish we lived closer to visit again!!!!

Highly recommendedPosted Jun 12, 2008
I was in San Antonio for a conference being held at the Henry B. Gonzalaz center downtown. I was a little concerned when I made my reservation at the Yellow Rose that it would be too far away. I was happy to find out the first day that it was an easy 15 minute walk to the center. The accomodations at the Yellow Rose were lovely. My room was spacious and clean, and air conditioned. I really liked that my room had it's own entrance, and I was left to myself. Each day when I got back from my conference, my room had been tidied and fresh cookies were waiting. If I ever make it back to San Antonio, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
